I've owned, and now own, Fcars but never a 246. It has to be the sexiest vintage Ferrari out there. Would you mind telling me where and how the top on this car is stored? http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Superb-Ferrari-Dino-246-GTS-U-S-car-with-every-option_W0QQitemZ120027358086QQihZ002QQcategoryZ6212QQssPageNameZWDVWQQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem Is it easy to remove? How is the headroom for a 6' guy in these? Thanks,
top works the same as a 308 targa, basically. it slides in behind the seats. i am 6'1" and have no problem driving in the car either with or without the top. in fact with the top in place or the top not stowed behind the seats, the seats will slide so far back that i have problems reaching the pedals. head room isn't bad either as the seats are so low to the floor.
BTW, These cars weigh 2400 pounds, are reliable, and go fast in the turns! Where's Corbani when you need him? Testify brother!
It's IMHO even sexier with a real roof! (and of course lighter, cheaper, and more rigid). That being said, It´s the only one of my "Ferraris" that I believe I will never sell. Driving a Dino is so sweet! Cheers, Julio
Yes, the minor appearance difference is irrelevant compared with the full driving experience of a top off.
Not at all looking for an agument. I love GTS's and nearly got one instead of my GTB (but I hated the bronze color of that GTS). I just think prospective buyers should be aware that a part from the $'s there is also minor performance and rigidity price for the "full driving experience with the top off", which I agree is awesome. Cheers, Julio
