OK, I've just weeded through most of this thread and the garbage that Josh is spewing. I'm no shrink, but it appears to be that he suffers from delusions of grandeur and posing as some big-time Ferrari dealer-maker??? On a whim, I actually responded to his Craigslist ad a while back when I was selling my F355. When Josh called me back, he sounded exactly like his posting gibberish. Young, foolish, unstable and uneducated. I knew I was wasting my time and wondered why he was posting those ads and why he called me back since he seemed to have no knowledge about Ferraris nor any interest in my F355. I probed a little asking which Ferraris WAS he interested in, and again, more inconclusive gibberish from Josh. I actually thought he was some snot-nosed 13 year old playing games. Why? To impress his other uneducated, clueless buddies? "Josh the bigtime Ferrari trader?" WTF knows... Kinda sad actually. Sad, but highly entertaining since it's non-stop self-destruction while he trashes the ones he should be courting. So Josh, if you really wanted an F355, why didn't you say so? "I would like to own one day a 166mm and an F40 but I think all start with a plain old F355." Because it'll just be more BS, right Josh? ;-)
Now that comment was just sad. The 166MM was Enzo Ferrari's very first road car. it appeared in 1948. 166 is the number of cubic centimeters displaced in just one cylinder and the MM refers to the 1,000 mile race the "Mille Miglia" that he had won earlier that same year. He is very picky about what he buys at what price but, he tells me to list it like that just to see what is out there. your F355, I honestly told him he should go for it because you were giving a really good deal. He didnt care, he told me that he had zero interest in that car at all. I personaly Love the F355 I get calls about them all the time from here and California. I actually saved your number in my phone and was planning on calling you to see if you still had it. I am looking to get an F355 but obviously not from this guy now. You had that car for sale for a LOONG time. The only other cars on there that have been for sale as long as yours was were the silver 1979 308 which i drove and was awsome but my boss didnt wanna pay 26k even though it only had 30k miles. the silver 1997 456 which I went down and saw, It is beautiful but who wants an automatic ferrari. true but technically they were released the same year and its still the same car. the mm is what I want and its still the first. thats like saying anything but the 166 with the serial number 0000001m is the only 'first' Ferrari road car.
