    For the Constructor's championship:

    1. Ferrari- 2 good drivers finishing on the podium regularly.
    2. McLaren-reliability will take its toll on the team's constructors points
    3. Honda-same as above unless they get their engine reliability sorted out
    4. BMW-will be very reliable; drivers will fail more than the cars do.
    5. Renault-middle of the points each race.
    6. Williams-will show much better reliability with Toyota power; will finish more frequently.

For the WDC I think it will be:

    1. Alonso-fewer changing variables and key personnel at McLaren; I think he takes better care of his car and will have fewer mechanical retirements in the McLaren than Kimi did
    2. Kimi-it will be a close fight to the end but clean on the track; I think it will take him some time to get used to his new surroundings
    3. Button-will win a few races next year as FA and KR will probably have issues at their new teams, will be in the points regularly
    4. Massa-will win again next year
    5. Fisichella-Renault will be fast and reliable; GF will be in the points regularly (Heikki will give him a run, for sure)
    6. Nico-Toyota power may help him get his first win.

    I agree.

    Constructors:
    Ferrari
    McLaren
    BMWSauber

    Drivers:
    Raikkonen
    Massa
    Alonso

I believe that Massa will come out of the box with excellent results not only because of his knowledge of the equipment, but to prove to all he deserves the Ferrari ride. He will not hold back for Kimi as he did for Schumacher. I think Kimi will be fast from the very start, but by the middle of the season, he will be winning races.

I am curious if the showing of the BMW Sauber in Italy continues for the final three races. If it does, they could be a close second in the 2007 Constructors Championship. I do not think McLaren/Alonso should be underestimated. I think that Fred's true driving skill will show in 2007 and he will keep the Mercedes up front much of the time.

No matter what, 2007 should be one of the closest championship years in F1 history.

I think you guys are really exagerating Hondas and BMWs performance. I mean Honda has no superstar drivers, Jenson isnt going to podium on a reular basis he just isnt that type of driver. You have Ferrari who has two drivers that are capable of beating everyone on the track. Mclaren has Alonso who will be a title fighter whether we like it or not. I'll admit Renault is going to be taken out of the mix since they have nobody to really drive, but they still will have a very strong car and Flavio.

The way I see it is Ferrari pretty much for sure in WCC because they are the only team with 2 drivers that can podium every race. Then Mclaren becuase Alonso will win a few races no matter what. It's not like the Mclaren package isnt one of the strongest ever year, the only issue is the reliability, but they arn't going to breakdown every race. Alonso is also easier on equipment then Kimi it sounds so the mclarens will be more reliable then in the past. The second Mclaren seat is no where near as strong as Massa so they will take second for sure WCC.

So now we have to look at WCC position three. It will be battle between Renault, Honda, Toyota, and BMW Sauber. The toyota package could be very strong and Ralf and Jarno could do well, espcially since everyone is on bridgestones. I think Toyota is going to have a much better car then BMW/Sauber and the drivers are better if you ask me. Toyota and Renault will probably have chassis very similar in speed, but the Toyota drivers are better then Renault. Honda will have a good car, but probably not as good as Toyota or Renault, and they have some issues in their organizational structure. Jenson is a good driver and Reubens is decent so I rate them Higher then BMW.

So see Toyota/Renault/Honda fighting for third, and BMW fighting for fourth with the weaker of those teams.

to be honest, i do really see Ferrari running away with both titles. lets look at facts:

    1) Mclaren - unless they can build a good reliable machine, FA can forget about title he wants.

    2) Renault - rookie lineup, forget about Fisi. he's the most inconsistent driver out there, i don't expect him to perform miracles. i suppose heikki will start whoopin his @$$ mid-season.

    3) Honda - do u guys really think they can be genuine title contenders?

    4) BMW - yes. i think if they have some good tests, i do expect to see some results. and w/out JV there, it'll be good to see kubica and nick on the podium on regular basis.

    5) Ferrari - yes, with kimi on board, everything's new. but dun forget...they have massa, and he's not new. with Schumi's departure, massa won't hold anything back tightly. he'll go all out to proof he's on par and as fast as kimi.

    6) Toyota - *yawn*

did i miss any big names out that's suppose to challenge for the title? so, like i posted earlier, Ferrari will take both titles.

It seems to me that Honda are easily the best of the rest. Their driver lineup is one of the best in F1. They have two race winners. They have two race winners that have won in the last 3 years. There is no reason to think that Barrichello/Button can't land on the podium nearly every race if given the right car. Hell, if you looked at 2004, they had a combined point total of 199 points - that wins championships. Honda is the only team that really looks to be on the cusp of great performance (other than McLaren/Ferrari/Renault, obviously). Hell, they've already had great performance in 2004. That's something that Toyota/BMW/Red Bull have yet to demonstrate.

Regardless, I think the Alonso/Kimi battle will have precedence over anything that happens to Honda next year. I think that if Massa doesn't get anything else than an absolutely dominant car he will be thoroughly embarassed by Kimi.

I think we'll hear the Finnish anthem a lot next year. :)

From your perspective it could even get better on the podium:
    Kimi, Heikki, Nico

    A Finnish trifecta!

Are the Fins to F1 what the French used to be? They must be cringing by now about their loss of driver participation/domination. What happened to all the Laffites, Arnoux, Jabouilles, Tambays, Pironis, Jariers and Prosts of the Grande Nation?

I find it difficult to predict the results of 2007.

    Ferrari:
Logic states that Ferrari should be strong as they have a super strong relationship with Bridgestone. The entire package is on an increasing performance curve. But how will next year's car do with the spec engine. Also remember they no longer have the world's best test driver working for them to constantly develop the car - Schumi. If Renault wants to follow a different path to optimize their performance characteristics and McLaren and Ferrari pushing in another direction who will Bridgestone favor? As for the drivers Kimi will be fast and title hungry - so he should be a shoo-in for the title but he will not be allowed to drive for Ferrari till Jan 07. Massa's performance is steadily improving but he needs to do a whole lot more if he wants to be a consistent podium finisher.

    Renault:
Has a strong development team and the car is damned good. But Alonso seems to do so much more with the car than Fisi. I think Heikki will beat Fisi next year. He was super fast in GP2. But Heikki will go thru a learning curve of accidents, mistakes till he learns the tracks and gets attuned to the F1 style of racing which is different from the GP2 style. Fisi is hopeless - cant do crap as a team leader and is lousy team player too. So Renault's hopes depends on Heikki delivering on in his first year.

    McLaren:
Alonso will be strong for sure. McLaren has lost a lot of key players to Red Bull and other in the last two years. I am not sure if they are as well fielded from a aero and mech grip standpoint. Unlike Renault and Ferrari, McLaren seems to drop the ball more often in crucial areas like race strategy, pit stop execution, etc. I think Kimi's speed has disguised a lot of these problems. Thus the car needs to be fast and reliable and the teamwork to be slick for Alonso to have a chance. Regardless of who is to going fill the second seat, the driver will have play a #2 role to Alonso. Pedro is old and slow. I think Lewis is a good choice and he should be superb in 2 years time.

    BMW Sauber:
Doing a stellar job recently. Kubica has been driving superbly. Heidfeld looks like the bottle neck in the team. Lets see if this team can progress next year or will they drop of the way BAR did in 2005.

    Williams:
Looks like it is becoming the Minardi of the future. Sad for a team with such a glorious history. Sam Michaels looks like a duffer to me. FW and PH are over the hill. The Toyota engine may boost their performance a bit but the rest of team is really lacking. Rosberg has proved to be fast on occasion but has made too many mistakes. Wurz will be a great asset to the team but he is not going to beat Kimi or Alonso on pure pace for sure.

The remaining teams - dont care much for them :)

Overall, I believe Kimi and Ferrari should have the best WDC and WCC title shot
