I just added this wheel. It's a smaller and thicker wheel that feels amazing in your hands. It improved the driving experience. Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
360 CS steering wheel Re-valved shocks & hyperco springs (DeltaVee) New suspension bushings Corner balanced SS brake lines Fabspeed headers Hi flow cats Nouvalari super sport exhaust (about to be swapped w/ a Tubi) Gruppe M intake in transit
Raid Airbag wheel. Needed to mod the original hub (yes, its reversible to original wheel). I had the cavallino etched by laser to look more stock. Man, I've done a lot to this car. When I put a list together, I surprised myself. I've also added: Carbon fiber door sills F50 Shift Knob Carbon fiber air boxes Carbon fiber center console (Complete) Black floor mats Challenge grill Primary test pipes Secondary test pipes Enzo key Lowered the car to max 295 35ZR 18 rear tires Pzero 11mm Hill Engg Spacers Front 15mm Hill Engg Spacers Rear removed Resonator box and plugged it Smooth Poly Red intake hoses Metal Fender Shields 3M the whole front end Tubi Exhaust Electronic Exhaust Bypass Valve Switch Also, everything works on the car. Even the top works perfectly. I LOVE 355's!!!!!!!!!! THE BEST FERRARI EVER!!!!!!!!!
to ijvpet - RAID steering wheel that's the first aftermarket wheel i've seen that actually looks better than OE.
Beauty is in the eye of the (HP) beholder!! ;-)! Forgot to mention the over sized challenge sway bars.
The Gent that owned the car before me Dyno' d the car with results that would leave us skeptical (+ 425hp by a lot ) however , I would (and have) lent my stock (with Tubi) 355 to special friends and even let my wife go out for groceries in it. I would not let anyone drive the F1 without strict instruction AND me in the passenger seat. A 355 with torque. And lots of it, is a weapon. A 355 with Sequential twin turbos must be a supercar of epic proportions.
Not sure but I doubt that would be the case. Competizione did the dynos and I trust them implicitly. The first set they installed was +13 or 14hp to the wheels. They didn't believe it so they swapped back to the original box, dyno'd again, then put the Gruppe-M back on and got the same result after another run. I think the biggest improvement is from the materials. The stock boxes are made of some sort of metal that just soaks up heat from the muffler. Between that and the boxy nature of the stock parts there are definitely gains to be had.
With the GruppeM it is not just the HP increase at redline but also more midrange which the car really needs.
It was around $3600 with installation, and 13hp to the wheels. A lot yes, but there were some throttle response and aural improvements as well. Not that it really needs the extra hp but I had money sitting around so what the heck..
I found the gruppe M to be one of my favourite mods. Besides the pick up in HP which seems to be weighted on the bottom end, (where it needs to be), it just sounds cool. For those that have it and are listening, the sound is almost as awesome as the 5 valve with the hyper flows. It certainly is the perfect musical partner. As far as looks go, it makes the engine bay look so much more exotic. Other than the exhaust however, the challenge wheels are top three in performance benefits as far as mods go.
When I first got the car it had the F50 Shift Knob.... But no other carbon fiber pieces in the cabin... so I removed it and went to the Chrome knob... But now that I have all the CF trim... Im debating going back to the F50 knob... I do like the chrome knob as its the only chrome in the cabin and does draw your eye directly to the metal gate and shifter... but the F50 knbob is a little bigger and feels better in the palm of your hand... thoughts?? I had the same endless discussion with myself... lol. You an always put the chrome knob back on. But it all about detail in a Ferrari - any Ferrari. I think with the carbon center console, a carbon shift knob is a finishing detail... and it does feel better. PeteyP, looks like we have the same taste. We even have the same floor mats Image Unavailable, Please Login
LOL. The only time I ever turn the stereo on is when shes in the car with me and I dont want to hear her yap.... lol They sound pretty good, although, you could probably get better sound out of a 3 in 1 speaker vs having 3 seperates for Lows/Mid/High... It helps that I also have a subwoofer enclosed in leather behind the seats that can shake the car if I turn it on...
My car has: H&R sport springs (PO) Challenge Grill (PO) Challenge rims with Hoosier R6s Challenge exhaust Test pipes (PO) Sony BT enabled head unit (PO) I also have a harness bar waiting for install, maybe this winter. Luckily, the PO kept all of the stock parts except for the head unit, so I can return to almost 100% stock if I ever want to.
Mods? What mods?? The head of our FCA region told me my car is the easiest to judge at the concours... it always comes in last. Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
The only things I have added to my 355 are a pair of Nouvalari high flow cats which it needed for inspection and polyethylene skid pads which I made myself. Other than that it came to me with: 1) Carbon fiber door sills, 2) Hill dead petal and passenger's foot rest, 3) Tinted side windows, 4) Challenge grill, 5) The right price.
