    Hey all,

As New Years Eve is fast approaching I thought I'd pose the question of what was your best book purchase in 2023 was.

Can be either a new release or something you tracked down published years ago.

I'll start by putting my pick as the Ferrari 550 Prodrive book by Girardo & Co.

I made a few interesting purchases - my winner is without contest Phil Hill's "Inside Track".
The Ferrari Prodrive book would win in a "new releases" category, and I'd put a mention to "Bugatti: the Italian decade" (which I bought after "The EB110 and the last Bugatti racing cars") as a good surprise I did not really expect.
For an encyclopedic work, I'd recommend the two Palawan's "The Aston Martin V8" volumes ("1969-2000" and "Register").

A copy of "Ferrari in Camera" in decent, but not pristine, condition for less than $1000.

The Porter Press Hesketh book. Read it over Christmas. Very good indeed. Fascinating times.

"Aston Martin - The Post-War Competition Cars." 1 of the 100 copies with 11 signatures (10 drivers plus Sir David Brown). Published in 1991. Found this at a vendors booth at Lime Rock Historic festival, for only $250 - very far below value if and when you can find one.

You should also have a look at Inside Ferrari by Michael Dregni.
An older book but covers the factory around the time the F40 was being built.

Cool, good to know. I was mostly interested in what the factory looks like these days and Inside the Scuderia has a nice presentation of that. Also I like how the author gathered stories from the factory workers over the years. But I'll check out your recommendation.
