You hit gravel, rolled the car, leaked gas, had to bust your way free and were bloodied due to it......... why was the little jerk on the bike laughing?

Other than perhaps hot-footing the car where you shouldn't have, why were you embarrassed? Seems like that is more of a war story to me.

Embarrassed for my stupidity....and in my life experiences, people find humor in others mis fortune, especially when it involves an expensive vehicle...

I don't know if this can be considered "ghetto", but you'll have a hard topping this one for sheer stupidity:

A couple weeks after I bought my first Ferrari (F430) last year, I pull of the freeway running on fumes. Pull into the gas station & prepay inside with $25 and go back to the car. About 5 minutes later at 3:30 in the afternoon the car dies on the 101 in Del Mar. The first thing that pops into my head is " Oh ****, this is going to be an expensive repair - I'm about to get my cherry broken by the garage!" The second thing that came to mind was "Oh ****! I need to get this thing off the road immediately!" For those of you not familiar with the 101 in Del Mar at 3:30 in the afternoon, it's stop and go, two lanes, a median, parked cars lining both of the streets and it takes about 20 minutes to cover a mile and a half. Brutal.

At any rate, I immediately ask the guy behind me to help push the car into the next side street. He basically has no choice as nobody's going anywhere until I'm out of the way.

I lift the deck lid & have a look around for anything obvious...nothing seems to visibly broken, no oil or fluid leaks, etc. I go back in the car and try to crank it...silence. Hmm, I'm running down a laundry list of things it could be before I call for a tow. I try to crank it again and take a look at the gauges. No fuel.

Yup, I went inside the gas station, paid the attendant, walked straight back to my car and proceeded to drive away without putting in any fuel! I defy anyone to beat that.

I only live a few miles from where I was stranded & could have called my wife, but I chose to keep what little pride I had left & had my buddy bail me out. She didn't need to see her idiot husband dumping a 2 gallon can of gasoline into a Ferrari on the side of the road.

Now that I think about it this incident could be considered " ghetto" in that I would need to be on crack to pull this one off again. Needless to say, I didn't go back to the gas station & try to reclaim the fuel.

How about putting $8 in gas 3 of which was in change in mi friend's Enzo.

I took her car for a drive and forgot my wallet and that was all I had. While at the gas station there were many people gawking at the car and one kid asked " why am I putting $8 of gas gas into million dollar car" then he says "times are hard ever for the rich".

    VERY EMBARRASSING !!!

I have learned something from you guys. I am going to put a fifty dollar bill in my

I found that when I Pulled into the Chrysler Dodge Jeep dealer in the Mondial when looking for a rain car, I got alot less BS from the salesman--they listened to what I said I wanted. And then they asked if I was going to trade the Ferrari in on the Jeep Compass--lol. The used car guys were drooling over wanting to take it on a test drive.
