I can't figure out if the new Hot Wheels Radar Gun is designed for children or their dads. See: http://www.hotwheels.com/showcase/product.aspx?product_number=J2358&category_id=6 It looks like it reads above 100 MPH although I can't see why any of us would need it to read above 60 MPH. Uses could be to check the speed of your local police - seems fair as they do it to us all the time. Could also be used to drive Ted nuts by setting off his radar detector at inopportune times. Enjoy
For $25, it probably doesn't pick up anything very far away. Here's one on eBay for $73 that claims to measure cars at up to 1,300 feet away and speeds from 6 MPH-200 MPH. http://cgi.ebay.com/NEW-Bushnell-Velocity-Speed-Radar-Guns-101911-Baseball_W0QQitemZ190011450174QQihZ009QQcategoryZ73916QQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem
Those do work well. My co-driver brought one on Players Run last year and this year. It was fun messing with other cars radar detectors and watching them brake hard.
It would look kinda funny to be walking around with a radar gun made by Hotwheels. It would be handy for the track I guess. I wonder how accurate it is?
I bought a bushnell k band radar gun a couple years ago...it is very entertaining to mess with people on long drives to e wa or to oregon. I have even had it on f club drives...just ask will d!! Lol
