For mine that would be a 1964 Ford Thunderbird. Red with white leather interior. Slide away steering wheel & bucket seats. The big ass V8 was all that. What did your dad have while you were growing up?

Before that there was a Hugger Orange 396SS El Camino, '60 356, '55 Chevy 210, Camaros, Mustangs, etc. My parents actually met when they were cruising Van Nuys blvd in the early 70's, but they told their parents that they met at the library. :D

Nothing that exciting. I do remember a maroon Mercury. The one that had the reverse rear window that would go and down. I remember thinking that was cool.

My parents never had a 'cool' car, but they always bought new. No frills on any of them! No AC, etc.

'66 Chevelle 2 dr 6 cy 3 on the tree, no radio
'72 Nova 2 dr 6 cy, 3 on the tree, Had a radio!
'77 Granada again, 6 cy, radio AT ( The AT was a Big step for dad!)

Maybe that's why I like cars so much. My parents always bought 'basic' transportation.

1993 cadillac allante! I loved that car when he first got it and wish he would have held on to it. My mom's coolest is probably her current G500.

1972 Cadillac Eldorado Convertible. Blue with white interior and white top. 500 cubic inches of pure torque that could make the front wheels spin...a real novelty in the '70's. Drove that car to my prom!
