erm well for a realistic garage i pick Ferrari 360 Modena Ferrari 355B Lamborghini Murcielago Lamborghini Diablo SV well i dunno if this one is reasonable but i would love a carrera GT lol
Realisticly for me 1. 355 I have it. 2. M Coupe I have 3. 1989 Porsche 911 Speedster Very soon about 55k or so 4. 1993/95 928GTS In couple of years after the 911. 5. Girlfriend soon to be wife M Roadster will be replaced with a 5 Sereis BMW If I was to dream 1. F40 2. ENZO 3. Carrera GT 4. 959 Porsche 5. 355 6. 1989 911 Speedster 7. M Coupe 8. 928 GTS 9 Viper GTS 10. M5
I like the categories idea: Daily Driver; E46 M3 (Its the best compromise between the car you want to own and the car you need) 4wd: Screw SUV's, I'm getting an Evo VIII or R34 Skyline GT-R Vspec II Touring/Gt Car: Aston Vanquish or 512TR Balls to wall Exotic: Would love an F50, but an Eb110 SS would do it too for cheaper, or a Diablo SE 30 in BLACK only Weekend Sports Car: 355 GTS Tuner Cars (things for me to tinker with): Superformance Cobra with a 408W and Vortech S trim, 97 Supra TT Targa with a T88 hhhehehehe, or I want to swap a Lotus V-8 TT motor into an 83 DeLorean and redisign a tube frame chassis with Proengineer.
Obtainable garage: US 1. My MB 380SL (got it) 2. Wife's Boxster S (got it) 3. Slag's 328GTS (gonna look at it Sunday) 4. Rolls Royce Corniche DHC - early chrome bumper car (dk blue on magnolia) 5. Subaru WRX Sti built to the bejeezus (WRC Blue) 6. Jeep Wrangler for the off-roading I now do in Budget's rental cars. Obtainable garage: Sydney 1. Jeep Cherokee (got it - yes it is blue, too) 2. 5.0 Mustang road racer (got it - yeah I know but they've never seen them down there) 3. Rolls Royce Silver Cloud RHD 4. Another Boxster for the wife (she loves 'em) 5. 275GTS - a bit expensive but not 250GT California expensive. Nothin' over $50K except the 275GTS. Cheers
Allan: I love these exercises but I need a price limit. My perspective changes, so I've done these at every price level. Never dared to dream I'd be able to own the cars I've always dreamed of as a kid. But for now, here is my realistic 5 year plan: 1. Miura SV, check 2. Countach QV (carbed) check (mid restoration) 3. 288 GTO (or F40) currently looking, maybe this year. 4. 355B check (disagree with you allan, great looks, and best sound of almost any car period) 5. 420 (360 replacement) 6. 328 GTB check (keeping because its a great car, reliable and no downside, also my first ferrari) 7. Chevron B16 (beautiful, super fast, vintage eligable) 8. Aston Martin DB4 9. Jaguar XJ120 Of course, it would be awfully fun to break into Napolis's garage and live his "reality"
My real dream (obtainable) garage...? It would have an NNO in it; a black on black NNO... That's a dream garage and if i don't tell myself that it's obtainable, no one else will either... Lastly, it's no longer a dream if i don't convince myself that one day, i'll be able to have one... Ergo... My answer: Black on black NNO.
You calling the Enzo by a name you decided to make up on your own is as equally bad as Frank's calling a 355 a "Dino" bull$hit . You do realize that right? I think I will join the frank-and-beans-Carbon name farce with my own three letter acronym for the 612: "A$$". See if you can figure it out, it's complicated!!!!
Your wit and highly intellectual humor are too much for me, (Mama) Mako (A Mistako)... Your "jock"ularity is tainted with the residue of an insecure adolescent. See if you can figure THAT out, it's complicated!!!!
Okay back to the topic girls and boys ..., I'll play : 1. Alfa Romeo 1750 GTV fully restored in concours condition - working on restoring this car now. 2. Ducati SS800 or SS1000 for going to work and back to make the trip interesting. This is in my next couple of years plan . 3. Ferrari 308 GT/4 or 365 GT/4 2+2. I've got a family so like to share. This will probably be another restoration case. 4. And maybe some sort of club or historic race car, like a Formula 5000 single seater, or maybe even that 250LM replica I have discussed a few times, if the Australian classic car scene will let me play. On top of that is ofcourse the family car, I currently have a Toyota Tarago people mover thing, which suits this role perfectly, i.e starts first time every time and is quiet, air conditioned and has plenty of space ... personally I do not care too much what this car is, just has to go and handle the family trips, etc. Pete
Porsche 911 3.6 Turbo S factory slantnose Lamborghini Murcielago Shelby GT-350 1959 Cadillac convertible with the twin-nipple tail lights Lexus LS430 Ferrari 275 GTB/4
Currently the "garage" consists of: 2002 SVT Focus & 1997 Mustang GT(wifes car) in July my wife turns 30 and she wants either the 2005 Mustang Gt, 2005 Crossfire Conv, or 350z Roadster. My next realistic car will be the C6 Z06 in about 2 years. Then after the Z06 hopefully I will get the Fcar before I'm 40. I'll be 35 in June. My mother and step-father have a very "unbalanced" garage. Mom's car: 2004 E55 AMG (Attorney) Step-dads car: 2002 Chevrolet Impala (Engineer)
1) 1982 308 GTSi Silver & Black - Got it! 2) 1964 330 GT 2+2 (4 headlight preferably blue) 3) 1967 Camaro (327/4 speed) blue, silver, white or green That is it, but considering I just go the 308, I am pretty happy if the others remain a dream, or at least today I am. Terry
Besides the F-cars I'd like (Stradale, 512M, ...), I'd also want to have a 993 Turbo, late 60's Bronco, and 96 Camaro.
