I'm a huge Mraz fan. Personally I prefer the version of the song that he released with Mr. A-Z without the rest of the band, just him and the guitar. Other than that it sounds good, nice job on the vocals.

    1) SHAVE!!!!! You have the Al Quida look going and I dont care how "cool" you think it is... it sucks. Makes you looks like you want to sing your way into blowing us all up. Or that you are a hick.

    2) EXCELLENT VOICE!!!! But QUIT moving around! I know it is hard to do, but you will notice if you see a lot of concerts or studio time, pros stand still. Moving effects your lungs and thus your voice. Want a clear consistent sound? Stand still as much as possible. Even Elvis stood mostly still when singing.

    3) Sing something original. New stuff is great, but if you want to impress me, write it your self. If you cant do that, you have an awesome career as a back up singer or a member of Cheap Trick.

Simon Cowell would probably have chewed you up, but I liked the whole thing. Dr. S did have a good point on the moving around, as I agree with that. Keep it up and work hard. If you are in it for the money, it's a tough road that most fail at. Keep the faith and with that balance, you'll have fun with all of it!

    DrStranglove,
You will be happy to know that I have removed the Al Quida beard thing. HAHAHA.

I would have stood still but our choir dirctor who puts on this show insisted upon developing "stage presence". If it were my concert I would have stood in place. You are correct that it does affect singing/breathing/consistancy.

Thank you for your complement on my voice. I have not written any original songs of merit to date. I picked a popular song and gave it a little of my on flair BUT i agree original works are the best.

    PeterS,

thankfully he wasnt there. And thank you as well for the kind words. I do not intend on making singing my carrer but i do enjoy it.

LOL!! Thank you for not taking any offense to my comment. I have had many friends in bands (and still do) and it's such hard work. Here is a band called Old Dead Bug from the SF Bay Area, http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=msrYfUBk49MExcuse Excuse the crappy audio, as their CD will blow you away! I have absolutely no clue as to why this group has no made it BIG TIME. They are a classic mix of Oingo Boingo, Starship and the dead! My buddy is the base player. Him and the entire band works their asses off! My guess is that they are simply not connected well enough to get properly promoted.

Peter the link you posted did not work for some reason. But I looked up a few of their vids. They have a very interesting sound. Yes having the right connections is very important (in all things) but especially in the music industry.

This is my friends bands Myspace page...http://www.myspace.com/hypnophonicband

The songs on the player at the top right hand side are all originals. "help us out" is my favorite.

Good job on the vocals...about halfway through you got over your nervousness and really started singing... then it came back just before the end..

The ONLY way to fix it is to sing to audiences again, and again, and again...

    Go for it, Nick!

Yeah I was a little nervous, this was my first time singing a big solo/ entire song in front of hundreds of people. The second performance was a little better. Your right the only way to get over it is to do it over and over again.

    Thanks for the complements Mike

I think you have a good look and voice. I agree on the moving around and being nervous things. Practice makes perfect. Hell I couldn't do it.
