He's pushing himself too hard.

 

I think he starts to get on people's nerves with his "mistakes".

Many offs, spins, blocking other drivers, starting rehearsal on the racing line?

His name comes too often in the reports.

 

I agree with regards to his quali spins but blocking other drivers???? I have'nt seen any tirades from other drivers on-boards about Yuki impeeding other drivers. I've seen more Mazepin impeeding other drivers than I've seen Yuki so Yuki is aware of whose coming up behind him.

Agree. Learning year for Yuki. His mistakes are self inflicted. When he keeps it on the track he's showing promise.

 

He has definitely fizzled from his debut…with how cutthroat Red Bull has shown to be, I won’t be surprised if he gets cut to make room for Albon since Perez looks to be keeping his seat.

 

Good point RE albon. But recently RBR kept brendon hartley around for an awful long time. So I don't think time is up just yet for Yuki. He clearly has potential but needs to iron out silly mistakes. It's like he gives it 100% all the time when it's just not needed.

 

I wonder what people mean by "potential"; it is often mentioned regarding yuki, but what does it really mean?

His junior career wasn't anything special and I have yet to see him come even close to Pierre in pace. I rate Gasly highly, but if you can't even come close to someone like him, you are never going to be top team material. I see yuki's career at middfield at best.

 

The new young audience of Formula 1 made the buzz around him because they imagine that Yuki comes straight out of a Manga..

 

Consider his age and lack of experience in Europe, the team he drove for in F2 wasn't heralded as a super good one (experienced team in the world of racing but only came to F2 in 2019), hasn't driven many of the circuits he's driven on so far....he's done ok.
