Almost same thing happend to us two years ago. Before going on the "'bahn" the first time we were told to not fool around for too long in the left lane (the derestricted zone) unless we were going REALLY fast (155mph+), because some do top speed runs there.
We were doing a steady 100 mph in E60 5-series, then the driver saw something coming up REALLY fast behind him. He "jumped" back in to the right and woooooosh this 996 Turbo S turns up and passes before we even got to understand if the car was blue, green or black. I glimpsed "Turbo S" and it was gone already.
I was more like "wtf" followed by a massive grin. The true Autobahn vehicle is a beefed up 911 Turbo, no doubt! Some of them can go 220 mph... The letters... RUF :D

Autobahn is great but but you have to be awake if you wanna play, or else it's best to play safe in the right lanes.

He was part of a Canon Ball run organized by a Dutch car club. He had GPS in the car which indicated 200 mph. He has a modified intake and custom tune, otherwise stock engine.
