For $1.6M, you could have Zagato design and build another one-off on a 550 or 575 chassis. Taz Terry Phillips

RHD chassis no. N9 sold at Bonhams for only £353,500 inclusive of Buyer's Premium. It's interesting why so small price? The price of the new 550 GTZ was over 1,5 million dollars as I remember
Right hand drive could be one of the reasons. Also, prices mentioned on the internet and in magazines are often much higher than what the customer actually paid.
The took their time to build this car. And they say that building a 550 GTZ should take 'only' 5 months: I also wondered about the fact if there are 3 of 5 550 GTZ's build. But I guess there are only three. Why? They refer to this car as "Chassis no. N9". So I guess N1-N6 are the six 575 GTZ's and then there are 3 550 GTZ's build (USA, Canada & UK). Also they say that this is the last GTZ build:
i love the zagato bodied 550/575s... i just kick myself for not going to that cars and coffee!! that is one of my favorite cars... and 353 for a zagato body... that sounds CHEAP. I can only imagine what this car will be worth in the future.
Photos you say. OK, here you go. From Chelsea Sept 2010. Thanks to Sy for letting me use. Guide price was £800,000 to £1,200,000. Someone took a bath at £353k. The one in the photos was the only RHD made. The other 5 were LHD. Neither Zagato or Bertone styling is to my taste. Thanks for posting this. Interesting answer to the question you asked about what engine it had in it!
For 1.6m you can buy a Pagani Zonda F roadster and still have change to buy a 550 Maranello... Sorry, the Zagato Maranello's are nothing short of hideous unfortunately (but then, improving upon perfection is fairly hard!).
I've never been a huge fan of the Zagato cars. I don't find them to be ugly, I just think the price isn't justified. What is the market for this car today? Still crazy money?
