That was quick! Can't wait for driver impressions after first practice, that layout will keep them very busy. Wonder how the banked curve will play out.
Well folks, could we see a repeat of Spa 2021 regarding the weather?? Here's the current forecast. Subject to change. Image Unavailable, Please Login
No because the sea breeze will help clear away much of the mist (the sea is 300 meters away) and there are no forests, no trees to retain it like the old long Hockenheim or Spa. It is also a much slower circuit so much more raceable than Spa in wet conditions.
I went round Zandvoort in January 2013 as a passenger in a Mercedes station wagon driven by former vintage racer Paul Schouwenburg whose autobiography I edited. We were taking a break from work at his house nearby. He hustled the car spiritedly and I thought it was a very tight, busy layout. I can't imagine how intense it will be in F1 cars.

Zandvoort shouldn't be the victim of the fiasco at Spa. The Dutch made a great effort to revamp their track, and I hope for them that everything will go alight this time. I am looking forward to it.
