Anyone familiar with the 2015 F12 that Netcarshowroom has for sale with the vin number in the thread title? Considering trading my CS for it. Says it was imported from the Dominican Republic.

Hi, The only thing I know about imported cars is that if the paperwork is not correct, the car can be confiscated. However, that was back when grey market cars were more common, perhaps it is different now.

 

I would be worried about rust since it’s from the DR

 

Hold onto your CS and buy an F12 when you can manage both.

 

I am not aware that Latin America cars are suitable for importation into the US due to the cars lacking FMVSS certification.

 

What spec is your CS?

 

After further consideration, I’ve decided to pass on this car. Thanks to all that replied.

Too many other cars out there with higher spec and no considerations for importation.

 

Not really,not sure what options are important for you but the ones out there did not have the options I was looking for ,finally I found one but ended up paying more than I wanted to but low miles,and had pretty much all the options I was looking for so I went for it

 

This car is still for sale as I am looking at a f12 personally. They have a US title in hand now with ferrari warranty until the year end, i guess people are concerned about imported cars with a US title.

I bought this vehicle and can confirm it has all the required paperwork (the importer sent them to me) and have had the annual service completed at Ferrari. There are no issues with the car and it is indeed amazing. No issues at all. I added the valve controller and this v12 soundtrack is just EPIC!

I noticed this car is for sale again, any particular reason you sold it so fast?

 

Anytime I see anything posted by that dealer I cringe

 

Yes, I am a sales manager at a Ferrari store and want to bring it to our store but it makes me nervous why the last owner sold it so fast because he seemed so excited about it.

 

I had my fun with it. I buy cars every few months so it was time to move on.

Looks like a quick flip. It's now asking is at $280k ...what was it before in DR?

 

Last I checked they were also asking $1.4MM for an SF90. Awesome car but that's at least 40% above market.
