Could a Zivan Battery Charger K02 be OEM to a 1997 550? How does the battery charger connect to the battery? Ferrari specific plug (engine/cabin?) Anderson type plug? Michel
I have one on my 2005 575m. Not sure when they were introduced. There is a connector near the headlight eg about 1m I front of the battery but you do need to open the bonnet to access it. The connector appears to be some sort of military/aerospace connector in metal with a screw fixing! You can see it in image 9 of 12 on the attached eBay listing. Michel- 1997 is about the time the Scaglietti options, among them the battery charger, were introduced. The charger connector sits forward on the starboard side, close to the radiator. This is what it looks like (lower left box). Not the most convenient location. My advice would be to get a good CTEK charger and use the ZIVAN for a concourse plus. They have not been notably reliable. I have one of the ZIVAN cases with my CTEK inside, not that I have used it in the last 5 years or so. Image Unavailable, Please Login
Thank you Terry. Complete as always. If The Zivan is not reliable I will indeed go with a CTEK. For once we have that brand on this side of the ocean as well. I will just make up an anderson type connector. The Schedoni bag is nifthy though.
Taz, On Fchat a couple of members recommended a CTEK 7002 for a 550. Is this a good fit? I have a Divan for something to fill the boot.
