are there any zonda dealerships in california?
Michael Lederman showed one a yellow one at the 2000 Concorso Italiano. I believe that's the car that ended up in Malibu, stored among a collection of other spectacular exotics. Anyway, Mr Lederman may be someone to contact in regards to acquiring another one, and I'm sure some people here can put you in touch with him. Pagani doesn't list any North American dealers on their website: http://www.paganiautomobili.it/english/rete.htm >8^) ER
There is no official Pagani dealer to my knowledge. I actually contacted them a couple of days ago about a particular car for an interested friend and received: As of now, the only way to legally drive the car is on a show-and-display license or with dealer plates (and yes, I know of 4+ personally in the country). I could be wrong.
I know of a collector in California with three, a collector in NY with one (just sold his Silver one to another NY/NJer)- so thats 5 right there.. And thats not counting Wyclef's.
The Zonda has not made it onto the elligibility list for Show and Display approval yet. http://www.nhtsa.dot.gov/cars/rules/import/ShowDisplay/sdlist06202005.html Of course the Koenigsegg isn't there either, and there has been at least one of those here in the USA. I guess there are a lot of other loopholes people can take advantage of if they have the money. Certainly someone who can afford a Zonda 'has the money'. >8^) ER
When there are no dealers in the USA, but owners... How does one go about getting his Zonda serviced? Anyone?
It is a Mercedes V12 so it can't be THAT hard to work on- any ultra exotic car specialist should be able to handle it.
I think that one went to Steve Goldman. My buddy who works on his cars says he has a yellow one. I also Mike Ledermen use to have Goldman as a client. I also know Steve is buying another one and its the Zonda F, which is illegal here in the states. Vivek
I was at the factory in July. I think they said there were 6 total brought in to the US. One was sent back to italy to use there: resides at the factory.
I know where the Spyker dealer is, right down the street from me. Ok, I'm leaving cuz nobody cares about a Spyker, I know, I just felt complelled to chime in with something irrelevant. Ciao
All the comments about the Zonda not being available in the US are correct. It's a shameless plug for a newbie here, but here it is, a plug nonetheless: http://www.festivalofspeed.net/visit_pagani.php Thought you guys might enjoy it... JM
I spoke with Steve Goldman regarding his several Zonda's. He said he had to pick them up and arrange purchasing over seas. he showed me pictures to prove it.
