I just bought the full line of Zymol products, including the $7,000.00 Royale wax. I had my detailer preform a full detail on my 2008 Orange Lamborghini Gallardo Superleggera (closely following all the instructions). I was real curious what a $7,000.00 wax would look like.

WOW!!! I wasn't disappointed at all.

These are absolutely the best car detail products on earth. The wax actually modified the color of the car. It appears darker and more reflective. IT LOOKS AMAZING. The Nero Daytona 599 is next.

You may think I'm crazy to buy such an expensive wax, but the wax is actually pretty economical for my situation since it includes free refills for life.

Doing the math, I currently have 7 exoctic cars, which are each waxed at least twice a month. That's 168 waxes per year. Prior to buying the Royale, we were spending about $10.00, per car, on wax. That's about $1,680.00, per year. Therefore, the Royale will be paid for in about 4 years. After that, I will never pay for wax again, and will be using a $7,000.00 product for life. AND, that doesn't account for the cars I currently have on order, and that fact that all of my car buddies are asking to come over and use the wax on their cars. If I purchase all the cars I have on order over the next 12 months, and don't get rid of anything, I will have the Royale paid for in 2.5 years.

The big expense after the Royale wax is paid for will be the HD Cleanse (pre-wax). It costs about $5.00, per pre-wax.

I highly recommend the Royale wax to anyone who has a large collection and performs waxes often. If you have one exoctic car, even if you wax it once a week, it never makes sense.

    What do you guys think???

I think Zymol has some good products going for them, but you got to hand it to their marketing team, that Royale wax is beyond over priced. That's alot of money to have wax evaporate off the car in a few months. Seems to be Zymol's way of making up the difference for not applying it. This wax will deliver the same results for a fraction of Zymol's markup if you are dead set on carnuba. I use it on my own cars and applied it to a 246 Dino and F512m. For 5K+, that wax had better not come off the car for a very... long... time, I don't think our Fcar members shelled out that much to have the 3M rock chip protective film applied.

Nice wax, but all carnuba was nor created equally. Zymol Royale contains only No. 1 white caruba which is very expensive.

Jorge, I am becoming a sponsor on this sight this week and will be putting up a thread describing a couple of product concepts that I have designed. But, I saw your thread and just had to reply. I know a thing or two about these types of products so I am speaking from a position of knowledge not opinion or parroting someone elses marketing claims. I will make this brief.

There are quite a few products available that do a great job at making a vehicle shine. Carnuaba wax is a product that obviously has been around for many years for this use. In all of its quality numbers, Carnuaba is a plant material that has a melting point of approximately 135 degrees. Take any vehicle into the direct sun and it can reach 180 degrees in a short time, especially if it is a dark color. I have heard claims that there are special types of Carnuaba that are encapsulated and blended with polymer materials that help make it stronger but that is bunk. If the Carnuaba product cost $7.00, $70.00, or $7000.00 (oh my god) it will melt when the surface temperature is raised above the product melting point. When it becomes melted it will make a nice place for dust particulate to rest. Then the vehicle goes indoors or evening comes and the Carnuaba re-solidifies, changes it original surface structure, and captures all those dust particles in the surface. Not to mention the micro lifting that occurs when the suspension solvents are not present to help it flatten while drying again thus causing little pockets where your Florida humidity can get locked into. How many have seen their freshly polished black car seem to look like it has a haze over it after a couple days of driving. Carnuaba is in fact very susceptible to elemental attack and can actually amplify the affects of it, regardless of how much you paid for it. I have extensively tested new and different material types as a replacement for Carnuaba and have found that certain materials create extreme depth and clarity with unbelievable durability, far beyond that of any Carnuaba product. And they are much easier to work with. For $7000.00 I could provide enough product to seal the paint for almost 800 cars and they would all look like glass for a lot longer than what a far over price wax product can provide. I say with no reservation, $7000.00 for a wax is a scam. Period. Its only to say I can spend that much for a wax. It may give you a good shine but its a scam. Pull one of those cars out in the sun and put your hand flat on the surface. If you can wipe it off with a soft towel quickly and have no streaks or smears, than I have egg on my face. But I think you will find the opposite true.

I think it is outstanding that people are able to get themselves to a successful position where they can afford, and will pay, top dollar for the best products they can use on their vehicle. I develop products that I have proven to put me at the top of the list for performance, shine depth, and durability. But, the industry of appearance products is only regulated in the area of certain types of allowable materials and not in the product claims department so companies can make any claim they like. Its a free market. The bigger the marketing budget the bigger and louder the claims can be shouted. But there are certain materials that are surprising the hell out of people like unique fluids that can be used for detail sprays that don't cause streaking and are dry to the touch unlike greasy silicones. Companies like myself are experimenting with these materials and the results are obvious. Good profit margins aside, I just could not bring myself to gafting someone for that kind of money for product content cost that is a micro fraction of the whole.

But this is only my opinion...........:)

Congrats on the purchase! With the number of cars and frequency of waxing sessions, the Royale pays off in the end with its lifetime refills. I have used the Zymol Line extensively (except for Royale) and I love their waxes. I have tried A LOT of different products from nuba's to sealants. Nothing better then the Zymol wetness. I use Zymol Estate Glazes on my daily driver and find the durability quite good. Keep in mind my car is daily driven and not garaged. I have used the waxes on all different types of paints and colors and the depth, range, clarity and general appearance is a sight to behold. I really like Zymol Vintage. It tranformed the red on the Enzo I worked on into liquid shimmer. NOW, of course PREP is everything. If your car has swirls or other paint defects, proper polishing and cleansing is in order. Wax can never replace proper prep, but think of the wax as the icing on the cake!

jorgewolf - I wish you were in DC/Northern VA. You have some cars that would complete my "detailing collection!"

    Jorge,
Congratulations on the acquisition. Any photographs of the vehicles in the sun before and after the process? I know it is very hard to notice color and depth changes with a photograph, but it would be exciting to see.

By the way, I am quite aware that the cost of the wax was rediculously high. However, it was worth it to me to 1) have a great wax paid for for life, and 2) see if it really made a difference. I believe it did, and so do others that have seen the cars. That said, a fair price for the wax would probably have been about $500 (no refills). So, I intend to have the product refilled alot!
