OK here it is: Sign in the Hosted Section of iRacing's website. Session Name: F-Chat Racing League Password: mrroblay Day: Every Thursday (starting this week) Practice: 7:30 pm EST (4:30 PST) Qualifying: 8:30 pm EST (5:30 PST) Race: 9:00 pm EST (6:00 PST) You will be able to join the session anytime during practice or qualifying. After the Race started you will be unable to join. As mentioned before, this is a casual pick-up race. It's open to complete newbies and aliens (sim racing lingo for really good drivers) alike. We'll do a different car and track every week to keep it interesting. I hope to see you guys every week!
Chris I hate to tell you this but I have party this Thursday so I gotta miss the first one too. (you picked a good day huh )
Jeez! Well, we'll still be racing tomorrow anyway. I may even have a pro or 2 join us We'll also have 3 simulators in it as well so at least there will be a few racers. Next weeks race sounds like it's going to be big.
Hah, you beat Matt Halliday last time you raced him! BTW, did you see the video from the front of the pack of todays Rennlist race? Man, that was a fantastic race! [ame]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VN67H86hODg&feature=player_embedded[/ame]
even a blind squirrel gets a nut every now and then I'm looking forward to this, it will be a blast...if you're not on iracing, you have a week to sign up and buy a wheel and pedal set (or a CXC simulator, if you want to be a real baller)
Oh great another ringer. I'm a complete newbie to sim racing and I got a feeling I'm about to get slaughtered. oh well.
Actaully, I think you'll be surprised. There are always groups that stay together. The really fast guys will stay at the front, but the slower group will stay together in the tail end. There should always be someone to race against. Me and my guys will be there all during practice to give advice and do lead/follows. Just remember to hook up a headset for radio communication so we can coordinate. Both Mazdas will be eligible. Yes, fixed setups to keep the playing field level. You will love Mid-Ohio. It is a fantastic, rolling track and fairly easy to get rhythm going in the MX5.
I love Mid-O, too, with a stack of track records to prove it. I'm going to miss the next this week and next week, but I should be good for the 17th, then will miss the 24th...gotta love travel...
Hah The idea is, you should always have someone to race against. Trust me, you will enjoy yourself no matter the skill level. I'll throw a competition yellow if I have to
that was fun! John won the race, despite a last minute banzai attempt by me to get by him in the carousel that resulted in both of us spinning hope to see more of you guys next week
That was fun! I will try to get a video up tomorrow. That last lap scuffle was fun to watch in the replay
Hey thanks for hosting, that was me in the mute car. Chat mic wasn't working. That was my first iRace, and first 'virtual' visit to MO. Contrary to your encouraging earlier posts, there wasn't anyone else slow enough to race with me! Nevertheless lots of fun and good to get some concentrated practice time in. Amazing how accurate the map is, although a few turns that don't seem to read exactly like reality...
That was your first race? That was impressive! Didn't you have a little battle with Kyle (running under Chris Considine2) late in the race? I agree, the field was a bit thin this week making for less people to race against. (probably because it was the first week). Next week seems like it will be much busier. Anyhow, I really hope you come back to race with us again. It should get better and better every week.
