Ferrari is a racing company, right? Ferraris are meant to be driven not collecting dust, right? For many years Challenge car owners have been frustrated. With the latest Challenge model and a big budget you can run Ferrari's great Challenge series. On the flip side Challenge cars could run with street cars in controlled "Driver Education" events at tracks. No door to door and too much of the cars potential was being restricted instead of unleashed. In the middle is amateur Club Racing like SCCA and NASA. I have personal experience with both of these organizations running my 355 Challenge in SCCA Touring 1 & STO and NASA in the Super Touring 2 & 3 classes. Many are uncomfortable racing Ferraris against other makes more willing to trade paint.

This year we have the Ferrari Club Racing Association and after the first event at Sebring it is confirmed there is a HUGE demand by racers, race teams, and sponsors for as John Houghtaling put it "average millionaires" racing Ferraris. :)

We can thank people like John, Franco Valobra, and Jeff Ippoliti for getting this awesome series going! The event quickly loaded up with sponsors with all money returning back to the racers themselves. Hoosier came on board with tire support as they have great slicks for the 348, 355, 360, and 430 Challenge. Sebring had over 40 Challenge cars competing! No major incidents, just hard clean racing to the finish. All drivers received $1,000 cash at the end of event too.
