Hi all . . . I'm looking forward to meeting Byron's group as they rendezvous in Irvine, for the drive to the start in Thousand Oaks. My wife and I will not be able to make the full trip, since my "new" engine is not ready for a long drive yet. But we'll get Byron (et all) on their way. In fact, we'll follow for a while ... before turning to home. Hopefully, all will go well, during the break-in period, and we'll be able to go motoring with full comfidence soon. Dear friends, I have been having some problems with my cooling system, or I would have signed up for the whole run. I tried to contact Robert C. in Santa Barbara to meet up so we could do an abreviated route, to no avail, Robert if you want to call me my number is below. I am friends with the establishment where lunch is being served so I will probably meet you guys there. I have lived in this area my whole life and know some alternate roads back to the 101 if anyone is interested. Also several chaters stopped by my small "museum" last New Years Day, but only got to see the garage. If any are interested I will open up my main shrine for veiwing. I live 5 minutes off the freeway on the way home for most of you, and would be honored if anyone stopped by. I live on a small street but 10-15 cars might fit :-) One more bit of info, it has been hot in Ojai about 100+ every day, and the route from Solvang through Santa Ynez should be even hotter, be prepared. Would my car be satisfactory for the drive? It's a '91 Corvette. I have a picture in my profile. I'm also only 16 years of age, if that makes any difference. I've been on several Corvette cruises before, however. If my car is acceptable, I'd like to attend. I've never even sat in a Ferrari that had the engine running, but I'd very much like to see and hear your wonderful machines. If I do attend...I'm unsure how to put this, but as previously stated, I've never had a ride in any F-Car before. Would someone be kind enough to perhaps give a future Ferrari owner their first ride in an F-Car? I would greatly appreciate it. -Jeremy | ||

Here guys I would really like to go but I am not sure my car will be running. Ideally I would like to meet in Santa Barbara and go on the last leg to Ojai for lunch as I am not sure my car would make it through the hottest part (Santa Ynez) of the trip. However if someone is going alone and needs some ballast to give proper weight distribution I would be happy to oblige. Also on the way home if you guys want to stop by my house again to view the shrine after the run on the way home I would be honored. This time I will make sure the inside shrine is available. Stick lessons and then jumping into your 308, Matt, just doesn't sound like a good idea -- I'm not keen on breaking (not breaking in) your new clutch but its sooooooooo tempting an offer to drive an F-car (bastard!).. I'm on the hunt for a shotgun seat too. Anyone? Driving 10/10ths and I should be ok holding at the back of the pack.
