Gentlemen,

I'm sitting here fighting off a flu / 103 fever as I type. I've been sick all week, but was hoping it would subside by this weekend. I'm feeling sick as a dog, so if I'm sleeping when one of you inevitably calls me, you know why.

Well, no gt-40, but next time for sure.

I'm definitely in, leaving Napa at around 6:00 or so. Stop by point richmond to meet up with Art, and then heading down to half moon bay for some eggs and bacon.

Hope to see everyone there.

Right now I'm feeling optimistic.

The report looked bad this morning, but it has since changed to better. And looks even better on the west side of the bay.

Looks like GT-40 may not make it. My friend has only had it for a few weeks now and is working out a few things. Mainly...where did that three liters of water go? No puddle under the car? No water in the oil? Where is water?

he's working on it right now.

Weather's gonna be great. The crap stuff has already passed by this morning. In fact, the sunshine since then has dried the roads completely. Unless you were at some little-leagu event and had to walk on soggy/muddy grass, you'd never even know that it rained.

See you all tomorrow, nice and early!

Rgds,
Faisal (living just over the hill from Half Moon Bay)

Dan:

Weather report is widely scattered showers, with widely scattered T-Storms, but from the weather chart I saw, almost all of that is Eastward of 80.

Tomorrow might be a crappy day weather wise... I for one won't be heading out at 8am if it rains as hard as it was earlier (san mateo was flooded, for all intents and purposes). Major issues on 92...

I just read your shipping saga. We lead parallel lives. I have now shipped in a few cars, and one of those also came in on the EverRound (Evergreen lines) and I also had a nightmare of a time with the trucking and unloading docks, etc.

Thanks, I enjoyed your website very much!

My shipping stories are on my www.tvrfreak.com website too.

Congrats on the new addition to your stable! Is it a US car or Japan market Spider? Is it over Red/Burgandy? Hard to tell in the shot. Look forward to seeing it stateside. You'll have to bring it out to our next gathering.
Taek,
If Ben can make it, you can add his 512TR, and Dan's Saleen to our list.

Oh, it's one of the Millenium editions?

I was looking to purchase one not too long ago. I don't know if you saw my posts in the Lamborghinichat. I opted to wait and maybe go the Ferrari route.

It's a great machine. I didn't recognize it as a Millenium edition because of the paint job.

Ok, Mark's bringing his Porsche, so I guess I'll bring mine too. I thought this was going to be a Ferrari only affair.

So what's the list look like?
Ferrari (which models?)
Lamborghini Diablo roadster (Josh)
Ford GT-40 (Vincent's Buddy. This is too cool!!)
Porsche Turbo (You got a Turbo, right Mark?)
Porsche C4 Cabrio (Taek-Ho, wife might come in her commuter Z3 BMW or Corvette, then it's off to the shopping races :-))

Who else? This is for the breakfast, right? Come on guys, it's not every day you get to see this caliber of cars (GT-40!!)!

I for one don't mind if you bring a P-car! :-) Several of us were P-car enthusiests too last time. The group's very fun and accepting. If you're enthusiest enough to join us that early in the morning, I think that's enough! :-)

I'm flying back into town laaate Saturday (that's if we get everything on the airplane and checked out on schegule.) so I'll try real hard to make it :-)

Hey Norm, any chance you're looking for a poor f-car-less passanger from the Serramonte point onwards? (do you guys come back through there?) would love to hear that Cargraphic from the inside if you're up for it and it's going not out of your way at all. :-)

Hopefully this time I'll bring my digital camera.

Best!

I would bring a car - no one will be driving fast (at least not from HMB to HB), and if it rains, you don't wanna get caught on the bike.

I might stop by for a bit. I'm thinking of either bringing the bike (the only way I can keep up with you guys), or the Corvette (because it's red and it's an admitted Ferrari wannabe car). I'll leave the Porsche at home at risk of getting lynched by the Ferrari crowd.

Vincent: Gorgeous. Hopefully it'll be good to go by this weekend (maybe he could get a last minute entry onto the concourse, especially since Ford is the featured marque... it's worth finding out ASAP) - that way we all get to show up half an hour early and he'll have a safe spot on the field, as opposed to parking it elsewhere.

Here it is. He's restoring it but it runs great. I hope he can make it.

Steve's got a point - I went for a nice drive Sunday morning (84 to 1 to 92) - and just as I was coming home it started to rain again. Even today, scattered showers then clear again.

I just hope that Sunday's clear and blue for the whole day - it would be a shame to see the concours get rained on - I'm already afraid that the turnout of cars might be less stellar than usual due to weather concerns...

See you this weekend,

--Dan

PS: Norm - that's for bringing this back up - I meant to do so after I put together a calendar of car-related events for the summer.

If the weather holds out, I'll see you for the drive.

Confirming breakfast May 4 at 8am at Moonside Bakery in Half Moon Bay. Those who are interested might caravan to the Hillsborough Concours afterwards. Anyone living north of Serramonte/Daly City are welcome to join a caravan to HMB. We meet in the Good Guys parking lot at 7.15am. Hope to see a lot of you guys.
