In the current issue of Sports Car Market, mention is made of 250 Lusso s/n 4519 selling in the UK (for $145k, incidentally). The description mentions that this car has a 330 engine. Now, I assume that the 330 engine on 4519 was put in at some later date as a mod. However, the comments on the sale mention that "Enzo Ferrari himself had a 330 GTC-powered Lusso." Is this true about Enzo? If so, did the factory build some 330-powered Lusso's, or was Enzo's a scabbed-together prototype? A 330-powered Lusso seems like it would be a pretty neat car, IMO... Also, any thoughts in general about Lussos? |
