You were lucky Guillaume, after lunch, from Lion's Bay south, I couldn't see a thing in front of me! Yep, the Indy race should be great... |

Nice pictures Peter. I had a drive of my own with the Vancouver Mini Cooper club on saturday and the rain started pouring down right after the run had ended! In two weekends from now I'll be watching the Champcars race down Quebec st at over 300km/h! I can't wait!

Peter, great pics. Are you joining us with our American friends in two weeks on the 2003 Great Cascade Adventure? Don. |

Yep, they also headed to Whistler after the lunch. As you can see, Taylor was there, but didn't make it to the lunch as he had other stuff to do. Ed L. came along in his 348 ts plus our club's webmaster, Robert, in his MB... |

...with the local Alfa Romeo club. For those who don't remember we did this drive last year and I posted pics and the adventure I had on that drive: http://www.ferrarichat.com/discus/messages/251280/111397.html This year saw a bigger turn-out of cars, with more of the Ferrari guys joining in! We had good weather, but when reaching the best part (the ride along the Chekamus River) it started to rain hard! We all eased-up a bit as the roads were especially slick. In fact, further up the road, a bunch of crazy teens in an old Pontiac slid off the road and into a ditch! They were alright (they wore their seatbelts and if they didn't, there could've been fatalities...) and had called for help, but was a good reminder to the rest of us to take it easy. Naturally, when we headed back for lunch at the local golf course, the sun came out and it got warmer. Oh well, maybe it'll work out better for next year. Half the group continued on up to Whistler to spend the night and the the rest of us headed back home (in another down pour...). Here's some pics:
P.S. At least I didn't lock the keys in the car this time! |
