Rob - FYI, the F&F writer/director was the pizza delivery guy, not the guy in the Ferrari. Regarding the topic, I don't think it matters what has been purchased from the money, its more along the lines of the amount of money given out before the announcement and how ex-employees cannot cash their severence check because everything is frozen up. Its quite sad that it turned out that way... quite sad. |

Guys, I'm sure I'm not telling anything you don't know but this Enron "SCAM" was a deal where the big boys divided up the big bucks when they knew that Enron was going down the tubes. All the time they were baiting people to keep investing. Now they sit back and say,"I've got mine, catch me if you can." |

I can only imagine sepnding 100k a day. That is rediculously lavish and excessive. |

Isn't he now claiming that he's bankrupt after realizing over $100M in profits from stock sales from the last 3 years ? He'd have to spend over $100k per day every day for the last 3 years to be broke.... maybe arthur anderson is doing his finances too! |

I heard on the news that the enron ceo ken lay had 9 houses or something like that, but i guess i dont blame him, i wouldnt mind having 9 houses, i just tare them down and build garages Still, he seems like a hard working guy because he came back to the company 6 months ago to try to save it after the previous ceo resigned. Is he any relation to you rob? |

I get tired of the way people always treat most Ferrari owners. "Why do you need a car like that?" Whats funny is how these individuals would want the same the for themselves most of the time. Many people modify their car to get more attention. (ex. ground effects, black lights, Giant Fins/Spoilers, loud stereos, etc.) I have found many people to be jealous and envious. I think it is all about what makes you happy. If you are happy and secure with what you have then you probably will not talk negatively about what others have. |

When I was growing up and in love with Magnum's 308, they were, what, $60,000 or more? In the early 80's, even broken down 12 cyl. cars from the 1950's weren't cheap (a 25 year old car) and even then were expensive to maintain. Today, a 'good' 308 is low 30's or even less and that's a lot less money today since even with the recession, the American buying power is at an all time high. My point is that Ferraris were truly once only rich mens toys and that's how they are still thought of; new ones truly are. But there is a used market that allows even middle class people to be able to afford a Ferrari and the media and general public seem unaware of this. |

A Ferrari associated with anything negative hurts all owners of the marque. Most of us work our butts off to make our dreams come true. We could do without the bad media coverage. |

Yes, Ferrari equal money, success, performance, passion, and art. I think they're all positive attributes. |

If I were an Enron employee driving a Hyundai and had just lost all my life savings so the CEO could drive a Ferrari, I would be pissed too. I don't care what any of you may say because you are just lying to yourself if you don't, but the word Ferrari instantly equates to money with the average person on the street. |

I think it blows people's minds when they see that you act open and nice to others. At a gas station, a new Acura RSX pulled up next to me. I thought they're pretty nice cars and I've never seen one up close. So I asked the owner a few questions about the Acura while we were filling up. The owner didn't know what to say at first probably because he was getting over the shock that a Ferrari owner was asking HIM about his car. |

That comment in Bloomberg seems to present all Ferrari owners as wealthy, elitists who look down upon all other non-Ferrari owners. Unfortunately, we are the victims of this prejudicial misconception. Out of curiosity, what autos did all the other Enron execs drive? Could the same misconception be said of those autos? |

I think it's the rarity of the cars and general ignorance that causes foolish comments like that. |

I know people who owns more than 2 really expensive boats who thought a Ferrari is "kinda expensive". I really don't understand that kind of mentality. |

What you talkin' about Willis? Always wanted to say that. :-) People who lack passion, or motivation find it easy to criticize those who do not. |

I for one think we should prove them right and be the biggest Aholes possible. Then after a few years everyone will hate Ferraris and their owners, this will cause the Ferrari market to plummet and I'll be able to own an F40 before I get out of college. I've met a lot of cool people though that ask about the Fcar though, I'd feel kind of bad being a to them, but I guess we gotta do what we gotta do. |

Oh, I just heard the other day that the jerk in the 355 Spyder in "Fast and Furious" is actually the writer/director of the movie. |

Bloomberg is reporting that Enron's Chief Accounting officer owned a ferrari - as if that is a crime in of itself |
