Peyman,

not a bad idea, especially if some of the old panels are bad!! I always thought you can use the front fenders. true? could you tell us what your part source is and how much the replacement panels (i am assuming thy are glass) cost you?

Thanks!~

Ferrari of Houston had a green 348 challenge with the 355 front end & side moldings. I have a photo but for some reason, FERRARI CHAT will not post the photo completely, little help Rob?

I like the idea of 2 cars for the price of one! Tired of your 348? Put on its new clothes. Then change it back when you're ready for some nostalgia.

It's an interesting thought. Do you have any pictures?

I like the way the 355s look. I think it would be nice.

Yes mine was wrecked in the corner front, so I thought instead of just repairing it, I'll try to improve it.

I don't know, it it really that much different from a 308/288 conversion, or tearing apart an older V12 and remaking it into a California Spyder or GTO?

I like the sound of this - I like both 348 and 355, but do prefer the looks of 355s.

Here in the UK, there's probably 15-20K difference between cars of equivalent condition, so this could be cost effective even if the car wasn't wrecked.

I'm wondering the same thing Peyman. The lines of the 348 look a lot more exotic than the plain jane lines of the 355. If you want a 355 that bad, sell the 348 and buy one. The prices have dropped so much that a 1995-97 355 can be had for a little more than the 348 plus the conversion parts cost ! Conversions are for Pontiac crowd !

Peyman, I'm just curious.... why are you doing this? Was your 348 wrecked?

I am currently doing a 355 body conversion on my 91 348, the conversion consists of aftermarket parts. Front Bumper, Rear Bumper, side inlets, rockers, rear quarter panels and deck lid, and of course oem lighting, The aftermarket fiberglass bumpers and quarters are much lighter, would this perhaps make the car handle better. By the way changing bumpers is the easy part, but the quarters is no small job.
