Let me come back on the thread mentioned by "The Don". Maybe it can help you. I have used Rob's method and it worked fine but it did not fix my problem. Resigned, I let the car collected by my mechanic. The problem came from the hydraulic clutch control (the name of the part is "bush support flange" ??? that was out of tolerence). I had that (quite expensive) piece of metal replaced together with the disc, the flywheel, gaskets etc. Today everything is all right. As far as I know, there is no manual clutch adjustment on the 348. My recommendation to you is to first bleed the system but if it does not work... be prepare to open your wallet. Good luck and keep us informed. |

I think I will just wait until it gets its major in August. Better to have an expert fix whatever is wrong than to have me mess it up! |

How is that done? Is it something that a novice like me can do? I'm pretty handy but not a mechanical genius. |

sounds like you have air in the hydrolic's (sp?) You need to bleed the system. |

I am experiencing something I don't understand with the clutch in my 92 348. The clutch engages rather high but I understand that this is not unusual. However, when the chutch gets hot, after about 30 minutes, it starts to slip. Is this an adjustment or does it need to be rebuilt? Don't understand why it doesn't slip until it gets hot. |
