If I remember correctly,3yrs ago, when my door switch/button went out , my mechanic found that Volvo switch/button was the same and readily available. |

John, >I found one on a Fiat site... Possibly you saw the Door Jamb Switch #: 31601 http://www.international-auto.com/pdf_files/IAP32.pdf It does look pretty close! BTW, I found the part#: 60054509 JAM SWITCH, 308 ROUND This thread may save you some research time by closing off false leads: http://www.ferrarichat.com/discus/messages/256120/90513.html Hmm, ICP still lists them on their web site: http://www.italiancarparts.com/parts/ferrariparts.html#exterior Look under: 'Switches, Latches, Levers & related parts': Door Jam Switch, 308/Mondial: #FR4509 $39.75

Verell, Nope- I already asked him. I'd rather buy a new one that fix mine that broke last week as I was trying to remove it. I looked on the site and also could not find a part number. I found one on a Fiat site that look similar for 4 bucks. I might order that one if I can find it again. |

Mark, I miss-read your post. What we haven't been able to get are the door actuated switches that mount inside the door jamb. I can't find where it's shown in the SPC or I'd supply the part #. Anyway, do you have them by any chance? |

Mark Not what I was looking for. What I am looking for is the dome-light equivalent thing (rectangular shape) that you wiggle to turn on and off. This is mounted mid-way up the door panel. Got one of those, or two or three? |

There's a good chance that you've got a broken door switch. The fiber washer that insulates the switch contact from the metal plunger shaft breaks. It can be replaced. Search the archives about 2 mo. ago for my description of how I repaired my door switch. |

Switch is stuck. It is located at the front door jam. You may need to put in a double sticky piece of tape or something like that to actuate the switch when the door is in the closing position. |

Help! My '79 308 now keeps its door lights, the little round red ones on all the time. Is the a common problem? Or is it typical italian electrics? Where are all the switches? I'm guessing there are two, plunger types- one on each door. Thanks for any advice. |
