Dave, the best way to describe the repops is they look like 4 front rims rather than deeper looking ones on the rear just like the 328's. The repops are wider in the rear but lack the cosmetic difference to set them apart. Side by side its blatently obvious and once you notice, they stick out like a sore thumb. At least it was that way with me so I sold them. Thanks for the thumbs up on the rims, i have no regrets and at $2200 cdn all shipping, taxes and duty, I couldnt lose.

Center caps are easily changed. Could someone post a pic of the front and rear wheel of the repros, and someone else with the orginals. I'm just curious about the difference, as I have seen both in person and noticed the difference in the center caps, but not the wheel itself.

Nice upgrade either way Newman!

Here are some pics I took this afternoon of the new 328 rims and factory centers. I noticed the repop QV rims had a different shade of yellow than the originals as well as the incorrect setback of the spokes for the rear rims.Upload

I just installed a set from Ferrari UK and they look amazing, sorry no pics yet. My wheel bolts worked no problem, same ones used for 14's and the TRX's I had.(the bolts thread into the hubs the same depth as the did on the previous rims) The front dust or grease cap is the only issue on the 308 hubs. Im making a shallower cap to allow the ferrari center to fit (the 308 grease cap protrudes into where the ferrari cap should fit.) This sounds half a$$ but for the time being Im not running the grease caps on the front hubs. The ferrari cap fits so tightly that I dont have any grease loss onto the rim and no dirt in the bearing, I checked twice so far. I plan on using a ford focus rear bearing grease cap to solve delima.

Wow, now if I could only get a set of 355 wheels to fit to my 308QV for that price!

Steve
Check the archives. There is SO much info on this. My best answer is "no". They are not the same, but as Dave said , the early 328 non abs wheels require modification to fit and the late 88 and 89 abs wheels will not fit at all.

There is also some debate that the hub clearance for the 308 wheel bearings are different as well. That is, if you try to fit early 328 style wheels to a 308, you will have to carefully mill out a bit of material in order for them to fit. It can't be all that big a deal, as I have seen one 308 in the flesh with 328 wheels, and at least 3 more on the internet.

They are of different appearance, and keep in mind that later 328 wheels are also different in offset as they fit over ABS brakes (they look more convex instead of flat).

Are the 16 inch 328 wheels the same as the 16 inch wheels that are fitted to some 308QV's.

thanks steve
