Hey everyone, I don't own an F-car yet but i have hopes of owning one.(F-355 Spider) Just wanted to thank Augustine for letting me tag along and Preston and the Mrs. for the hospitality. Preston, thanks for giving me the oppertunity to "Mack" in TR all day. When driving home i was so amped up that i was pushing my Concorde to the limits(about 80 MPH) then i realized, who am I kidding. look forward to meeting you guys again. Todd, good meeting with you! The car is awesome and it was crazy on 287. it felt like Hell's Angels but only with F-cars. Later Guys! |

Preston, I wanted to second Todd's comments. The breakfast that you and your wife put together for us was spectacular and we felt very welcome in your home. The day was a lot of fun and I'd say that the 287 run was definitely a highlight. I would love to do it again sometime. If you are ever in the A.C. area please do not hesitate to call on me. I'll email you with my contact numbers. Todd, It was great to meet you yesterday. I had a blast and I know that I can speak for Josie when I say that we enjoyed the day very much. I would speak for Jeremiah but I think that he was inspired by yesterdays events and decided to become a member of F-Chat himself. I'm sure that you'll here from him too. I definitely email my contact info to you. I'll see you at the party! -Augustine |

Preston, Just a quick note to thank you and your lovely wife for this morning's meet and greet and breakfast ensemble...superb effort! I think it would be fair to say we all had a blast ripping up 287N as well. I look forward to hooking up with you and the Mrs. soon...we'll set something up. In the meantime, if you are just out cruising...you are more than WELCOME to stop by my house anytime...in fact, I will be disappointed if you don't stop by! : ) ...the address is on my business card. Augustine, great to meet you and the Jersey southern connection as well...keep in touch when you are up North...send me your contact info so I can add you to my online address book...my email is [email protected] Also, mark your calendars for Bruce Wellington's BBQ on August 9th...see the thread in this section...it will be a great time! Call if you need more direction. I will be out this evening but you can reach me anytime during the day tomorrow at the number I posted earlier. PD |

NJ Ferrari get toegether Sunday, June 29th at 10am. Glad to hear you are coming Augustine. At this point I have not received confirmation from others but we're on for Sunday and I hope many other NJ F car owners will join us. If the forecast calls for rain everyone should call to confirm that we are still on. We can meet at my house between 10am and 10:30am for coffee/doughnuts,bagels,etc. Leave around 11am and take a drive through various parts of Morris County. There is a large classic car show at Gearhardt Chevrolet on rte 46 in Denville that we can cruise by -- maybe stop and enjoy the show -- and then grab a bite for lunch. My address is, 9 Normandy Heights Rd, Morristown NJ. My house is directly accross the street from the Morris museum. Just off the corner of Columbia turnpike and Normandy Heights Rd. Call me on my cell if you need directions. Cell - 646-296-9525. We look forward to seeing everyone on Sunday. Preston |

John: I live in Short Hills which is right next to Summit. Another great route is up Rt 80 To Rt 15 North Sparta, go straight up into New York ( Hawley ) and on into PA ( Honesdale ). The roads are vacant and winding. If you happen to have a companion of the oposite sex with you, she won't mind the Antique Shops and Road side stores either. Barry

Bruce, getting everyone in trouble? Route 29 "Beautiful Stretch??" Wasn't that were the cop stopped you at 110 / 95?? Just because you knew the cop. It's a shame that there isn't some stretch of road you can open up. Even up here in Maine the cops were out today, first day of sun and I almost bought it with the BMW. TTYL John |

Welcome Augustine, You are way down there. We should all keep each other informed on this topic page. I know my friend Bruce Wellington plans on putting a few f-cars together sometime this summer (with his new pool and everything). I know he'll post that here. Getting together at the Pub would be a great idea, but if you do it for brunch on Sunday, we'll overwhelm the place, to many go there at that time, I don't even attempt it. One/two hour wait, no thanks. Perhaps a midday Saturday. When I'm up there again, I'll ask for the best time. Regards John |

Hello everybody! I have had my 328 for two months now and I've been looking forward to meeting everyone for a drive one of these days. It just seems that I am at the wrong end of the state. I live in Longport which is a few miles south of Atlantic City. Is anyone close by? I have friends in North Jersey and I drive up that way quite often. I'd be happy to come up one weekend (if it's ever sunny again)to go for a drive and get to put some faces with the names. This is my first F-Car and I am very excited about the experience. Just joined the club too! Looking forward to hearing from you guys. |

Good morning friends great to see everyone on this thread, Bruce, how you doing, going crazy here, will try and call later. Welcome John, Linda and I are in Princeton, use to live in Berkeley Heights and grew up in Chatham, so I really know the summit area. Barry, thanks for the heads up on the show, hope I wouldn't miss it this year. I'm showing up at a car show flea market at Waterloo village in Sussex in early July/2003. I love the flea market end and I know I'll be buying a Sh*T load of auto parts and memorabilia. Anyway that should be fun. Bruce has the paper work as well. Robert: the Pub is great, we have been going there for years, since about 1975. You know you over do it when the Valets know your family by name. And it is fun when they park the F-car out front. Great Hamburger (that I can't eat anymore (you too Bruce) just the meat right?). BTW: the you are near one of the greatest drives in two directions. One is up North Jersey over the NY border, either side of the Hudson, but the best: The Delaware river PA side. The road from route 80 down to New Hope (518) on 611 and 32 cannot be beat. All the side roads and places to stop are great, Linda and I never get tired of it. (Hey Bruce lunch at Dillies.) We all have to get together more this summer. John they're all all great people in the NJ group. |

Hi John, I guess you found the FCA website. It's a nice club and you'll get the FCA monthly newsletter, quarterly Penn-Jersey newsletters, and the Prancing Horse magazine. You'll be kept informed of all the events, and there are many in our area. The West Point Concours is Sunday July 20th. Last year's West Point event was lots of fun. It promises to be the same this year. As you might not get your first newsletter in time, you can contact Nancie Giacalone at: [email protected] She'll help you with registration. Barry

John, Join FCA and really be in the loop! The Penn-Jersey Region has its Anuual Garden State Fall Ferrari Festival in New Vernon toward the end of September. The West Point Ferrari Concours is next month. You'll meet many of us at these events. Anytime you're up for a drive, there are about four of us within a 10 minute drive from you. I personally like to drive out to the Bedminster/Far Hills/Bernardsville area. Nice roads, scenery and restaurants out there, just 20 minutes away.......the time it takes for your oil to get to temperature! Barry |

Suggest you jump on 24 west to 287 south and get off at Bernardsville, Basking Ridge area, west of 287. Nice rolling hill sides two lane roads etc. Make The Stable a destination and enjoy the hardware in the window. Last trip, before the endless weekends of perpetual rain, was a 550 Maranello. If you loop back up to the old 24 and Mendham the Black Horse Pub has a great Brunch on Sundays. If you are lucky the owners new Aston will be parked out front. Valet parking only at this place but they will park an F car by the door to entertain those awaiting their vehicles. Then back on the old 24 east towards then through Morristown to 287 and back home. Beware of Peapack Gladstone where the Stable is located. The local police are scrupulous about their speeed limit for those of us with low red loud vehicles. |
