Just curious sitting here on a rainy Saturday (at least here in NJ)...

Does anyone know the number of 360's produced in each model year, and any breakout of F1 vs. 6-speed for each year of even the total production run?

I did a quick search and found some production #s for the entire run, but no break down in units made by year... and no breakout by transmission type either by year or for the entire run.

In my searching for a manual 6 speed 360, I would have to guesstimate that about 10% or so are manual gear boxes. Don't know the production numbers off the top of my head.

    Ferrari made 8,500 360 Modenas and 7,500 360 Spiders.

    I wish I knew the manual/F1 split.

One day, when I have all of the serial numbers, I'll post the details. But by then, someone else will probably have posted the answer.

I read in an old R&T article on the then-new 360 that roughly 70% of 355s were F1 (although I'm unsure of if the article was referring to just the final year of production or the whole run- the article was kind of mentioning this fact to give an indication of how 360's would likely be ordered). I wouldn't be surprised if the 6-speed was only in 10-15% based on my searching...

The F1/6-speed split may be difficult to come by unless it was mentioned in some road test article where a factory rep mentioned the % of F1 buyers to the article writer or something, but I wonder if anyone knows the breakout of year by year production which may be a more-likely thing for someone to know (although if NNO doesn't know year by year production numbers, I don't know who would!)

It's been 5 years since the last post on this thread- are we any closer to finding out the F1/3-pedal ratio?

I'm glad the other thread has come in useful. Indeed, the serial number is the last six digits of the VIN. Can you share it with us?

As for F1 vs manual, I can hazard a guess and offer the following...

    360 Modena
    F1: 4,600 - 5,000+.
    Manual: 3,000+

    360 Spider
    F1: 5,200+.
    Manual: 2,600+.

Interesting to see fall of yellow and blue in popularity as opposed to the huge rise of black and to a lesser extent white over the 12 year period.

    Between ~1999 and 2004 roughly 17,500, F131 chassis'd (i.e. 360's) cars produced for the world.

    Breakdown;
    (49%) 8.7k, 360 Modena's
    (41%) 7.5k, 360 Spider's
    ( 7%) 1,288, Challenge Stradale's
    ( 2%) 300, 360 Modena Challenge (Race Cars)

Total: 17.5k (over 5 year build period)

    360 Modena - 2.6k manual, 6.1k F1
    360 Spider - 2.1k manual, 5.4k F1
    Challenge Stradale - 1.2k F1
