NSAC was still defending her after the fight. She was crying after the backlash she received from social media. This will continue to happen with their other judges. Business as usual.

Kiwi Joseph Parker VS Hughie Fury this weekend. :)

    Hughie is Tyson Fury's Cousin.

They are fighting in the UK for the WBO Heavyweight title.

Not going to be anything exciting, but I thought I would make mention of it because this belt will go to AJ one day and it will be nice to keep tabs on it to see where it ends up for AJ to take it next April. :p

As I read more and more dissents from other notable judges and fighters I find myself more disinterested in boxing at this level. It's a corrupt power play circus that even the Nevada state commission has no control over as they are sadly not the party in charge. The masses have also spoken as a recent pole shows 79% believe it was a clear GGG win with just 10% draw, and 10% for Canelo.

It's the promoters that are in charge and corrupt, in this case, it's Golden Boy. The man that said he was gonna clean up the sport, turns out he's just as bad as Don King, Bob Arum, Floyd Mayweather, etc.. Even Bernard Hopkins is lying thru his teeth and trying to downplay what happened.

Sport commentators, besides Teddy Atlas, don't want to speak up for fear of losing invites/press credentials.

unfortunately, not every fight is gonna end up in a KO, unless they let them fight past 12 rounds until one gets KO'd.

No disagreement there. De La Hoya needs Canelo to be Mayweather big, and he's greasing the skids right along the way. The problem was that even the Canelo supporters at the arena showed their dissent in the decision, which of course supports De La Hoya's reliance on the more casual ignorant fan......

for sure. they KNEW Canelo lost the fight, so the best they could do was gift him a draw. Imagine the outcry if he were gifted a win!!

Seeing this happen is just sad for the sport. De La Hoya, casinos, the bought judges, and Canelo are the only winners. Canelo fought the best fight of his life, looked eons better than he did vs Mayweather but still got stopped and controlled by a superior fighter. This fight will forever besmirch his already questionable career. I can't imagine there will be a rematch as GGG's people will insist everything is on their terms now, which Canelo will never agree to. This fight was undoubtedly under Canelo's terms in their entirety, which was probably the sole reason he stepped in the ring as he knew the outcome was already bought and paid for.

And where is Joe saying GGG is a hype job now? ......

Im happy for Ward. He did everything he needed to do in this sport. He walked away on top. I hate seeing fighter retire when it's past their time. Best example. Roy Jones Jr.

I do have to say, I'm still not a huge fan of GGG and I'm still not convinced he is all that. I'm sorry. Maybe my opinion will change in the future, but beating (Tie) a smaller Canelo still didn't do it for me. Sorry.
Let's put it this way, He ain't no Hagler.

You mean the guy that walks around 175-180lbs on fight night, that smaller guy? The same guy that was fighting Glass Joe Khan, Josesito Lopez, Liam Smith, Mayweather, Cotto, and a whole slew of other smaller/older fighters?

Golovkin walked thru all of Canelo's punches and wasn't phased at all.

I also hope GGG forgets about Canelo unless it's on his terms. He should go after Saunders and go for undisputed middleweight champion. IMNSHO, GGG is Lineal Champion as well, and should have been since 2 yrs ago.

If you believe that was a draw and then you my friend are in a tiny minority to the best boxers and judges in the world who say otherwise, not to mention the objective numbers show GGG dominated that fight. We know 1, maybe 2 of those judges were in De La Hoya's pocked to the point that the NV state athletic commission publicly apologized for Adelaide Byrd's judging and benched her, not to mention the crowd themselves on the scene turned on Canelo, and that place was packed with nothing but Canelo fans. GGG DID beat Canelo, a much better Canelo than Canelo ever has been at that. Watch Canelo v Mayweather then watch him v GGG. Notice Canelo is a far more matured and complete fighter than he used to be. The facts are the facts: GGG landed 110 power punches to Canelo 114 and GGG landed far more punches overall by a factor of >50. Canelo was backing up all night and on the ropes and controlled all night only fighting in small spurts. He could not hurt GGG, while Canelo was stunned plenty of times on the ropes. Canelo LOST, and ONLY agreed to this fight 100% on his terms, his venue, his judges, and they got just that and he was gifted a draw which I'm sure he knew was the best he would see going in. That said, Canelo has grown miles in the last few years and I believe had the Canelo of this past Saturday night been at the fight v Floyd a few years ago, Floyd wouldn't have stood a chance.

Exactly. Canelo got his head rocked and his body controlled, which no one has ever been able to do.

Read my post better. I wrote "Beating". Your barking up the wrong tree. And hey, If I'm not convinced, your post still didn't change my mind. It's OK to disagree.
Besides, Dominated is an incorrect description of the fight. Look at the numbers and listen to the commentators. More like a 7-5 or 8-4. That's fair. Not a Dominating fight by any means. Could we agree on that?

7-5 or 8-4 with the number of punches landed and Canelo having been on the ropes most of the night is dominating in my book. May be some ambiguity which I can agree with, but Canelo at the best he's ever been is not someone who can get the better of GGG.

IF there's a rematch, I see GGG coming out strong from Rd 1, having already felt what Canelo has as far as power. He'll be able to walk thru his punches effortlessly again, and he will make Canelo gas out even earlier.
