I have been in the strad market all the time, pretty much since 2004. I have seen so many story cars presented as unpainted, unwrecked, we don't want to know, and so many guys fail to do the homework required to unearth the problems, that I think we need a permanent thread on these cars so no one else gets toasted.

Let's start with a couple, and we can all add to the list. This is cheap insurance for everyone in the market.

tdf strad 18k miles w/ rollbar the story is here vin last 5 136115

additional cars I can cover personally: 3 painted or wrecked nero's 4 wrecked reds, 2 wrecked silver stripes

    this argento/black al/stripe VIN 138905 6600 miles

hit a deer dead in the road during first owner's tenure. significant front end damage but not structural.

Premier fixed the car right for about $30k, welding in flush new metal below the hood, new bumper and paint. Car sold for 175 with full disclosure from first owner late 2006.

2nd owner was Fchat member and may speak up.

Disclosure has varied from none to a 10%. Caveat Emptor.

wow, I guess in his excitement to tell me that Shelton techs said it was THE best stradale they had ever seen, he forgot to mention this little bit of history. I am feelin better and better about his ruse all the time. Character has a way of showing up, or not!

The first stradale I wanted to buy, back in 05 was a nero car and was warned off that the car had been wrecked and repaired. It was selling in Ohio, is that the same car?

Wow, 300 + cars and every one a story. Not many happy endings here with all the shenanigans going on...
What ever happened to the (dark gray?) Stradale sold into Indiana? Also the brand new black one the guy wanted to trade for a different color.

Isn't "138905" the silver/with stripe Stradale that was sold out of west Los Angeles late 2007/early2008 by a Fchatter and represented as a perfect low mileage one owner car.

there was a nero, now happily living in FL, once the owner got over his anger and ripoff by lambo OH who sold him a repaint, new bumper, 2 new wheels, new rocker panel car [all doen by dave at premier so done best].

I looked at this car pre repair at premier, lambo OH took it home and pretended it was no story

and of course, any mention by me of premier is premier motorsports in LA, the finest F repair and arbiter of honesty on the west coast

Someone should run an autocheck and carfax on these cars to see if any of this stuff is showing up?

How about the yellow /black leather Stradale at Newport? Any issues? Only 3880 miles and a less common color. It only climbed to something like 165 on ebay. Buyers and sellers seem to have different ideas of what these cars are worth.

I didn't do a whole lot of due dill on my car before I bought it. I figured that it was widely known amongst the community and that any stories would have come out. All that being said, I received the car with a huge bend in one of the wheels :-(

You win some, you lose some.

Do you have an extra Stradale front wheel? My car (your old one) had one bent front and I had it repaired but am not thrilled with the work and I would just prefer to replace it.
