partially. We spent about 40 minutes there before driving down to Stony Creek metropark. Finished up around 1:20pm...
Saw a gold 612 in Windsor, ON Friday afternoon, along Riverside drive. It is the 3rd time I've seen it over there.
If you are ever in the small city of Allen Park(my home-town ), make sure you drive past the Detroit Lions practice facility. I have driven by there on several occasions and found Phantom's, Arnage's, an Exige, etc. This was only in the 2 times I have driven past, I am sure there are bigger and better cars to be found too. Out to lunch at Buddy's Pizza on Michigan Avenue in Dearborn and saw a new Lincoln MKT, 2010 Camaro SS(2 of them actually), and my highlight was a White with Blue stripes 2010 Ford Mustang GT500. What a mean looking car. And the sound is incredible. I saw a Gulf Blue with Orange stripes one roaming around in Trenton last month. Lastly, if you ever happen to drive by Dearborn Orthopedics, take a look around back. I have been there on several occasions and found a 612 Scaglietti, 550 Maranello, Aston Martin Vantage, and an old Volante. Not sure if these are all one doctors cars. All I have seen are Ferrari or Aston Martin. Great cars though. Chris
Bet the Exige belonged to a kicker! Anways, this past weekend there were some Ferraris around Birmingham, but the most unique spot was a Tech Art GTStreetR with Florida plates valeted at Somerset. Pic soon to come.
Lol Does Somerset really generate exotics? I have never seen one there. Are they usually parked in one spot? Or do you just have to search the isle's? Chris
Over the years, Somerset has been one of the best places to see exotics. The most noteworthy cars I've seen are an Enzo on multiple occasions, MC12, 8C, Fisker Tramonto, LP540, etc. They're always valet parked under the Skywalk in front of J Alexander's / Capital Grille.
Wow. I didnt even know 3 out of 4 of those cars resided in Michigan. Minus the Enzo of course. How are the valet with taking pictures and that? Also, where are the best places to spot in Birmingham? Anywhere in particular? Thanks! Chris
The valets don't seem to mind, but I still like to take pics as quick as I can. Pretty much anywhere in downtown Birmingham is good. My favorites places would be Mitchell's, Chen Chow, the Townsend, all of Old Woodward, etc. As long as you go when the weather is nice on a Friday, Saturday, or even Thursday, you'll be guaranteed to see something nice. Fish in a barrel! But Ocean Prime is still king for me. Tonight there were a lot of Bentleys out, as well as a red 360 Spider with Challenge grille at Ocean Prime, black Maserati Gran Turismo on the south side of Somerset, and a dark gray F430 Spider at a restaurant on Old Woodward, I believe the address is 442. Oh yeah, and a Lotus Super Seven on 14 Mile and Woodward.
check out this sweet spot. Okay, it was in Cali, but whatever. Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
Pretty good day today Yellow Ferrari 599 GTB Fiorano on Old Woodward Red Ferrari F430 Spider on Main Street in Rochester Black Ferrari F430 on Old Woodward Dark Gray Maserati Gran Turismo on Woodward Blue Corvette ZR1 leaving Somerset Aston Martin V8 Vantages and Bentleys scattered around
Spotted a 288 GTO near Westfield parked in a jewelry store parking lot with a pair of 599s and a couple of others. I almost fainted. The 288 GTO is such a beautiful car.
I'm not sure if any of you went to the Downriver Cruise today, but it was a great day. I spent the day from around 8AM to 6PM up there. No true "exotics", but there were definatley some decent cars. Even a few Ferrari's were out! -Rosso Corsa/Tan Ferrari 512TR(Why do I have a funny feeling this belongs to someone on here? Had the license plates "FORZA 1".) -Nero/Nero Ferrari 512TR -Nero Daytona/Tan Ferrari 360 Modena -Nero/Black Ferrari 355 Spider Other highlights include a White/Black Ford GT with blacked out tail-lights and stripes along with the rims. Liscense plate "GT GUY." Btw, "LATRLGS", I hope that wasnt you in the Orange Elise that got pulled over in front of me by the Michigan State Trooper. Chris
Last night I saw an orange Lamborghini LP640 on Woodward Tonight: Black Aston Martin DB9 on Maple Blue Aston Martin V8 Vantage from Montana at Somerset Blue/White Ford GT parked by itself on Old Woodward Black Ferrari 599 GTB Fiorano on Big Beaver going toward Somerset Silver Maybach which I saw this morning at the Radisson, and then saw tonight on Long Lake and Woodward. The car had a Kid Rock novelty plate on the front, I thought it might be Kid Rock's car, but he doesn't seem like the type that would buy a foreign car. The spot of the evening was a silver Saleen S7 driving down Woodward, and then later was parked at Northern Lakes Seafood Co. This was an amazing car to see in person, internet pictures really don't capture the true presence of this machine.
Wow. I did my rounds through Birmingham/Big Beaver 3 times and didn't see anything except for a Ford GT on Woodward that got pulled over and a new Bentley Azure at Cameron's. Friday night there was a yellow F355 GTS by Hunter House.
I talked with the owner of the orange lp640 at autozone. He didn't have it there, but I told him to bring it by one saturday. He is a good guy.
Finally got the picture off-loaded to the computer. I have seen the Nero F355 Spider at least 4 or 5 times throughout the Downriver area. That 512TR's plates sound really familiar too.. Anyone know these Ferrari's? Chris Image Unavailable, Please Login
Blue R8 V10 at Square Lake/75. Was stuck on the other side of the median in traffic. Turned around ASAP, but wasn't sure where it went. Would have been nice to compare V8 to V10. Probably was a manufacturer car. BTW, whose Enzo? Didn't know there was more than one around these parts.
