Your insults to Asians and rudeness to fellow F-chatters here and elsewhere are not welcome. Please take a time out. Your negative opinion is well known and there are other forums to complain in.

Love it. Should be a fantastic drive. Now I hope they don't spoil the looks by bringing it out at SUV ride height like they did with the 430.

Love it with the exception of the rear lights at the tips of the "wing".

The fact that the design is so nice and the reaction seems to be so good, it will make my first step in to F ownership (a CS or scud) that much easier on the wallet. Then in 4 years I can think of a CS/Scud version of the italia. ;)

I hope you are right about the Esprit. I've been waiting for over a year with a deposit on one but after seeing the Evora which is basically an NSX clone, I do not expect too much. Lotus needs to blow our socks off.

    I would love to have a 458 but probably ;
    1; Cant afford it
2; Dont have the proper credentials to get on the list.

If Lotus doesn't come through I'm going to go old school with a 996GT2.

PS; wish they hadn't "Audi'ised" the headlights on the 458.

Would love to see that dash in carbon, and the rest of the 458 looks great. Now the wait for them to actually make it to NA.

Love that negative comments have started on the first day from the peanut gallery. I thought it would be a least a day or two before that started.

I like it a lot. It is slightly reminiscent of a Dino. The divergent lines on the doors and rear fenders are the closest we've seen to p3/4 or p4/5. The strongest line on the car is also it's best. The rear fender line. The overall balance of the design seems to be good. The headlights are meant to be a scowl? or suggest aggression?

Having the DNA of the Dino and a P3 is a very good thing indeed.

I find the rear to be less well finished or cohesive but this happens to every single car since chrome went out. I don't mind the three pipes at all but it is just not resolved finely. Nothing a wing won't fix though. Just kidding, but I bet a more than normal amount get the treatment.

Yes, but very FEW negative comments. Contrast that with the reaction to the California release. Ferrari has a MAJOR hit on their hands here.

I disagree with a few details, specifically the front and the shape of the passenger cabin.

The rear air vents on top of the fenders are nice, but it seems their presence is the cause of the dissonant curves near the doors, which is unfortunate.
I'd have gone with a 355 style engine lid, rather than the large and presumably heavy piece of glass. A 599-esque buttress treatment here could also alleviate the need for the strange side area.

It is much better than the 360/430 at least, hopefully sitting somewhere between the 355 and 360 in terms of size/shape.

Like many of you, I've been watching this thread for days...no months...in anticipation of the first pictures. When I logged-on to Ferrarichat this evening and saw that the section was titled 458 Italia, I knew that the truth was finally out there!!! It was like opening a Christmas present when I clicked on the link and got my first view of what, in my opinion, is one of the most breathtaking Ferraris, ever!!! Wow!!! Finally, something since the 288 and 360 that I can't stop starring at! Way to go, Ferrari!!!

Agreed. I noted the similarities even before the reveal...

... though I think they were inspired (for the rear fender crease anyway) by my sketch for the open-source Dino thread ;)...
