OK, OK, I love the FF. It is beautiful.

I would only say that in the privacy of the Internet.

"How dare they make a hatchback! The audacity!"

Comments like that piss me off. The california and the FF receive the same idiotic slandering for the soul purpose of expressing a disliking. Everyone is entitled to their opinions but opinions with no deduction from real knowledge is completely pointless.

Ferrari is and has always been a racing-inspired company. And by "company" I mean an organization that generates profit in order to sustain and grow. The fact is that the man who conceived the first ferrari despised the idea of creating any kind of pedestrian car. He just wanted to race. To keep the doors open, they had to open the doors to more people. So in essence, speed is really the only glue that holds the ferrari family together. And correct me if I'm wrong, but the FF just might be the fastest, most usable grand tourer ever. But because it's Ferrari, it's a "crime."

Seriously F(FF) the haters. Cheers to those who "get it."

Peter, knowing you as a very respected Ferrari collectionner and president of the French Ferrari Club, I thank you for having launched your shout here which I hope will be heard. It doesn't mean I like the FF but at least I have touched it, sit in it, seen all the smallest details, seen the engine under the bonnet. The most important thing I haven't done yet, is to try it! The most convincing part will be what nobody has done yet. And it will be a hell of Ferrari to drive, even if I haven't accepted yet the exterior look of the car compared to the competing offers.

Let the negative thougths calm down and those who can't, they can write it out for free elsewhere ;)

    You are right!

These negative people would lose it if other F-Chatters invaded the discussion threads about the Ferrari models they own and began to criticize the same way.

Good manners and class should not be abandoned.

... but there is a flip side

Anyone can come on here and feel associated with one of the top brands in the world.

This part of the forum should welcome everyone with open arms.

Sorta like taking your car to a show and listening to the people and smiling cause you know there is a passion for cars. Regardless of what they say!

There is no need to argue in this area with credentials - it is what it is and nothing should be expected.

There are a lot of guys that pounce on new posters for no good reason.

Keep in mind f-chat makes money off of every visitor.

In the event that visitor is out of line let the powers to be take care of it.

Last note ... I was one of those guys and stuck it out. You never know the means behind the poster. Just recently a gent named Lee was put thru the ringer only to find out he topped 99% of the car owners here and was always a perfect gentleman - simply disliked his 458 at the beginning.

Fortunately he also stuck it out!

I have to admit, I was a skeptic at first, but it has grown on me throughout the last couple months. The car has great potential to be a Ferrari all-time great and I wouldn't be surprised if it did. Thanks for the thread.

I think no one wants people to not feel they can express their feelings or opinions.

However, there's a time and place for everything. "ENOUGH" is simply a cry that we've heard it all already and making new threads like "Big Mouth Bass" doesn't advance the conversation -- it just agitates people.

There are some here that are seriously asking questions about this car as they were with the California. At some point, the neigh sayers have said their peace and the ones who are really interested need to take over.

And, even if you are a neigh sayer, I think it's important to remember who you're talking to. You can have a little respect once and a while.

I'll give you an example. Some who really love the new McLaren have their own thread going in the British section. I don't think it's right to put up a new thread like "the 12 c is FUGLY" or "McLaren sucks" or "How can anyone buy something from McLaren?"

That's pretty much what has been happening in new car introductions. You may not like the FF but you can at least show a little respect to those with a different opinion.

I agree some cross the etiquette line - but I also may have the highest ban count.

So my level of tolerance varies when there is or is not intent vs naive.

I think the FF is very cool. For now at least I will stick with my 612HGTC as I am absolutely happy with it. Nothing against the FF - I am simply enjoying the car that I have. I am driving my 612 much more than my 458. 2+2 Ferraris with golf clubs in the boot are very useful in the real world.

I have become much less interested in Fchat as the tone has changed from owners or potential owners sharing common interests and concerns to mindless repetition of internet cr_p.

I am iffy on sticking with my HGTC - but I only have so much garage space and really wanted to like the FF.

Maybe it's time to let some other metal go and buy a 2nd Ferrari.

Great use of the limited space!!! Thanks for the pics - if you don't mind what is the car wrapped above the 458? :)

Interesting post and I will admit to be one of those who doesnt really grasp the fundamental concept of the FF, styling is subjective of course but from a company that produces cars like the 456, 500 Superfast, 365 2+2 the FF is certainly lets say "bold".

My big question is simply, yes its a great everyday car with superb technology but what % of Ferrari owners use their cars everyday? In the past Ferrari's were raw weekend cars, the idea wasnt really to make them everyday usable. Make no mistake I applaud Ferrari for making its cars more useable but there is a point where this can be pushed too far, is the FF a step too far? Again thats purely subjective.

I will follow the FF closely, hope to see one in the metal by the end of the year, only then will I decide about the styling.

As for becoming an icon, I seem to recall reading a lot about the 400i Auto causing a huge stir, sadly those dont seem to have become icons just yet ;)

The true test will of course be F chat owner impressions, in the past I have found these to be interesting than any magazine article.

I think that the car would be incredible looking with four doors like any real station wagon or hatch wagon.

Hey if Ferrari can build a four door 456 for the Sultan of Brunei, they could build a four door FF for me!! :)

Can't wait to see the FF on the road.

Thanks. My Rosso Corsa 612 HGTC has beige interior, Black carpets, Daytonas, and a lot of CF. I think car looks simply stunning. It is the only red 612 in HK and it seems that I am one of the few who like it
