Would you drink fat free milk? (Just my opinion) Chris, you are up to no good with this one? Do you really want to go there? Armen
I don't own either but the NSX definitely doesn't do it for me like the Ferrari 348 does. It's not even close.
Get a nero F355 spider............. But if it is straight across, money wise you may be ahead for a few years....
Chris, I will be sending some guys in dark suits to ask you some questions... maybe take you downtown in order to find out what you're up to!
Well it is not like he drives his 348........... he just makes sure the 'museum piece' does not get dusty....... !!! Chris, if you get the NSX will you drive that??
Would you trade your slightly worn Vacheron Constantin for a BRAND NEW CASIO!! Sound great lol No way Man! What would F-chat be without you??
No way. Yes the NSX is a great car and one that made Porsche and Ferrari pull its socks and design better products. BUT the Ferrari has tons more character and feel.
how about 2 days? Cool! Tell 'em I'll buy dinner I'm not going anywhere, regardless of the car I drive.....or don't
I don't share Joe's enthusiasm for the NSX. Keep the 348 and get an S2000 with a red interior. Then you've got your exotic, the Brotherhood won't be surrounding your house in a torchlight/pitchfork vigil, and you'll have what is probably Honda's coolest car.
Been there done that, the NSX is a nice daily driver but it's not nor ever will be a Ferrari..........you know that chris......no way!
Chris, At least consider the best NSXs for a move to the dark side... I don't know what your experience is with the NSX, and I wouldn't mean to suggest that you don't have any. However, I would like to give you my opinion. The 1995 and 1996 NSX cars were the best. They had the special electronic steering that was fiddled with and made inferior from 1997 onward. The '95 and '96 cars have a very, very slight power assist that magically disappears at speed and around turns. It's amazing. You can really feel the road. I thought my Dad was nuts when he said, after having a 1996, 1997, and 2002 NSX (3 out of the 4 different NSXs) that the 1996 was the best. Recently I went out and found him a 1996 NSX (with 8,000 miles! red/tan!), and I have to say -- it is a faster car than the 1997 and the 2002 cars. The NSX doesn't need the 6th gear that was given to it. A car with more gears is supposed to be faster, but Acura missed the mark there. They didn't gear the car properly for six gears; and they didn't properly address that issue for the 2002 update. So I have a great deal of experience with the 2002 NSX (which is the same exact car as the 2005), and I can say that the steering is way over assisted while the car doesn't feel as peppy as the 1996 car. My Dad also says that the sound is inferior on the newer cars, but I am not convinced that that is the case. While I could fill volumes on this subject, I think the NSX is really a terrific car. I really was impressed with that 1996 car when we bought it in October. However, I think the overall experience of the NSX is inferior to that of the 348. The NSX, while fun, is not as fun as the 348. In particular, I would like to emphasize my main problem with NSX. I think the NSX suffers from having an absolutely terrible clutch. I've driven all the NSXs, and my opinion is that they have the worst clutches in existence. Every clutch is better -- Porsche, BMW, Audi, etc. Of course, folks on here know how I feel about Ferrari clutches -- they are the best in the world. For me the NSX after a short ride becomes burdensome to drive because the clutch is so imprecise. The car just won't do what the Ferrari can do no matter how delicately I try to engage that clutch. Although I am spolied because I drive Ferraris with razor-sharp clutch precision, so are you! The NSX has a great shifter, but the overall transmission through the gears stinks, in my opinion. The car is a clunker because the clutch is about as precise as Mitt Romney's views on abortion or John Kerry's reasons for voting for/against funding the Iraq war (I proclaim my neutrality). Does anyone agree with me on the clutch issue? Chris, what are your thoughts on the NSX?
The NSX is a great car but I am not sure I trade your 348 for one. I have a 1992 and while great, it is not as much fun as a 348 or my 308 GTB-QV because it is just too easy to drive. I would never sell the NSX though....it will be a classic someday.. Brian Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
