    Today's the big day. I've got the truck and trailer ready to go. Should be back Monday 6:00PM. 1993 348SS 54 of 100 is coming home. :D :D :D

    1495KM trip in two days. I decided to rent a u-haul car trailer instead of the 24ft enclosed trailer. I’m glad I did. The construction work around Detroit was murder!!! We arrived in West Virginia at 3:00AM. Got a few hours sleep at the local Red Roof Inn. Got up, had a coffee and went straight to pick up the car. After going for a test drive in the 348 as well Marks 360, it was time to head out. We made a couple of attempts to load the 348 on the trailer but decided that it would be better to drive the car home instead :D
    The car was solid all the way home. Not one issue. The boarder crossing was a whole different story. The Canadian Custom Officers must have thought we were smuggling dope. They searched us high and dry. Asked how did I pay for the car? How did I pay for my truck? What I did for a living…….etc. I was only after a Supervisor came out that we were free to go. Total time in customs…2 hours. :(

    umm, why did you drive it back and not tow it ???? you drove it back with Virginia plates ?
    did you have to fill out FORM 1 and pay taxes ? did you have a BILL of sale ? recall clearance letter ?
    I wanna see this car if you are in toronto anytime ! cool. :)
    Post some better pics too .

    The build date on the car was July 92. Therefore the car was over 15 years old and exempt from the RIV :D
    I did pay the 6.1% as well as the GST. I drove it back with a dealer plate. No problems. Why not tow it? I bought the car to drive... ;)

    I read on the RIV.CA website that all cars imported from the U.S. no matter what year has to have a recall clearance letter.
    Where does it say it is exempt ?
    How did you get a dealer plate ???
