Birdman & I are hosting a FerrariChat BBQ at my place. I'll be smoking up a batch of Texas style BBQ Brisket & Ribs. Enjoy a drive thru back-roads in north-central MA, then visit with fellow FChat members & enjoy some of the best BBQ you've ever eaten. Watch this space for details. Feel free to organize meeting places & caravans. Please attach a reply to this thread if you think you'll be coming. I need a headcount by 1 Aug so I can get the brisket & ribs ordered.
Sure, the little ones are welcome. Caveat: My sons are grown & moved out so there's no recreation eqpt (swings, pool, etc.) for them to play on/with. However, there's a big yard & woods to explore.
Mr Holmes and I will be there on time, add one to your list please. David Svarczkopf ( did Doody get a new red car? I see a new Avatar)
As much as I wanted to host an FChat gathering at my place, Verell pointed out that my current garage construction project has destroyed my yard and parking space, and has graciously offered to host it. So, somehow, I get to take credit for "co-hosting" but all the hassle will be his!!! ;-) Anyway, I hope you all can make it and if you haven't had Verell's BBQ, you don't know what you're missing. He also has the best lawn to display a bunch of Ferraris ever, so it will be quite a sight. The road he lives on is a GREAT drive too. If there is anyone heading his way up 93 from Boston, or the south, let me know and we will have a caravan. I live in N. Reading about 40 minutes from his house is Groton. I go up 93 to 495 South, then back roads the rest of the way. Doody, I see that you have a CS coming...congrats!! When will it arrive? Birdman
Was driving around Marblehead Sunday the 25 and saw a beautiful new 360 spider in Azzuro California. This anyone's car from here? Am thinking it might have been the one at Ferrari of New England when I ordered my Maserati spyder back in November. When I saw that color I immediately changed the color on my order to Maserati's Azzuro Argentina
Verell and John, Heather and I plan on attending. Obviously there will be plenty of food at this BBQ for the carnivores in the group, but do you plan to have food for the herbivores that will be attending? If not, I'll plan on bringing a bunch of veggie burgers for those who foolishly choose not to eat the flesh of tasty animals. Troy
Troy, That would be great if you could bring a veggie thing. Verell is making the BBQ which takes several hours. I'll be bringing a bunch of other fixings to go with it (including spud salad, cole slaw and other BBQ things, but they are not really entres), and it would be cool if some other people will volunteer to bring beer, food, munchies, or whatever, so there is a good selection. Jonathan
I will bring the wine ,I sell the stuff so I think I have some sitting around!!!! david.,,can only fit one case in the 355 for any one coming out of boston we can meet on the 495 119 intersection and go up together from there,,ok,. non related pic. ,,,all threads need pics.
JdB, plan to meet at my house, which is off Rte 93 and we'll organize a posse. E-mail me for directions. jbird AT oceanicresearch DOT org David, we can meet you at the 495/119 intersection since the posse will go that way. The caravan will get bigger and bigger! BTW, why is that 355 hidden behind a wall of Porsches. Blasphemy! We'll work out times once we have a time from Verell. Birdman
Birdman, No problem with the vegie burgers and buns. Any idea how may would be appropriate? We'd be interested in meeting up for the drive to Verell's too. Since we're coming from southeastern CT, anywhere south of Boston (or Groton for that matter) works for us. Troy
Looks like Eileen and I are in....Birdman is Christine going? maybe the ladies can caravan together so we can take the red cars. -Michael
I'll bring a case of some good beer. Any favorites? If the wife comes, the beer will have to ride in the back with the engine... Anybody coming from the north? Maine? New Hampshire? I will be leaving from Portland, and would be happy to hook up for the ride to Verell's. Looking forward to it- thanks Birdman and Verell. John Wise
Count on 2 to arrive by Tr. You guys gotta a rain date just in case ? Or is this a one shot deal ? jwise, icy Coronas always hit the spot nicely ! Kenny K.
Wow, this is going to be THE Fchat NE gathering of the year I suspect! That's a great idea. I think Christine is planning on attending but the baby issue was a problem. This solves it. I'll let you know.
