"overwhelming and emotional moments at times" is exactly correct. Forty plus years later they seem to sleep peacefully together at night. Amen! I have visions of sugar plums dancing in my head just looking at that picture! I don't think that I'd be able to sleep, though. It would be just like Christmas Eve at age five! Fred

Very cool. Seeing the car and the phrase "heading to the painter" prompted me to post a photo of this oil painting. It was painted by a british artist named Tony Upson (not sure when). I bought it about 7-8 years ago from a small gallery in SF. Image Unavailable, Please Login
Yes. We'll make fittings to plug the end of the water. oil and fuel tubes on one end and attach a PSI gauge to the other end. We'll pressurise the tubes and check for pin hole leaks by warming the tubes with a torch. If we find any we'll fix them. Next we'll media blast the chassis and immediately paint it. We're going to dissemble every part, clean and test them and then put it all back together. We've already cleaned up the gearbox and will also do a major service on the engine which runs great so we're only going to inspect it and service the carbs. We'll make sure the gauges are reading properly etc. When we're done, with servicing, she should be good for the next ten years. Best
We'll all be looking forward to following along with the pictures, and obviously, we'll be learning in the process.
The chassis of that car looks as if it borrows hugely albeit an evolution of the maserati birdcages of a few years before.
Jim, There are some serious possibilities to see this beauty finished at 2010 "Concorso d'Eleganza di Villa d'Este" in Italy, as guest? It's some years I'd like to see in detail a 330 p3/4, and the occasion could be really agreable. your sincerely Alan
The man who fixed many of Ferrari's "issues" was Bizzarrini and this looks similar to the P538 to me. Althought the P538 did not finish races it was one of the fastest in trials. I gotta say- it's a little surprising to see how spindly that beast is under the skin. Very cool, but man...not much there.

I can't make it out in the picture, I'm embarrassed to say, but what is the Roadster between the Duesenberg and P4/5? Will we see it at Meadowbrook next year? Thanks
Thank you, either I don't remember, or missed that page altogether. Plate says 1931, so I won't have to ask that question, but clarification on the model is still requested.
