I visited AMG and test drove the car a few weeks ago. AMG's facilities are very clean, they have many interesting cars in their inventory, and the principals are knowledgable/friendly and seem to be quite trustworthy: they didn't make up an answer if they didn't know the answer to a question. A major positive is that they allowed me to test drive the car, and I reciprocated by limiting my drive to soft launches, keeping revs low, and covered less than 1 or 2 miles in total. The car has all the books, tools, etc., has the rare carbon fiber interior, and would make a good "driver" car. Yes, there were spacers in back. There were a few minor issues they are aware of and addressing, and I pointed out some others that may or may not be issues. The result of my visit is that I would like to buy a 550 in the near future. I have no financial or other interest in AMG or this car, but wanted to acknowledge the graciousness of the principals when I visited. Regards.
