want to change my tires. My lift is otherwise occupied for a 911 engine rebuild... Tire places will not do tires on a Ferrari. Tires too old to drive at highway speeds 2 hours to a dealer... Need to get loose rims to a tire shop.

I have 4 jacks stands and two low clearance hydraulic jacks...

For the life of me, don't see how to lift it...

If you lift one side, you can't lift the other...

If you lift the back, front hits the ground...

I guess I could do one side at a time, which seems silly...

Anyone done this? Am I missing something?

    I hear ya.

Here's an idea but remember to jack the fronts together along with the backs together (rear glass cracking risk). Two person job.

Also, don't make the same mistake another member here made (rpissm) where he jacked up just to the side of the locators and bent the bodywork

Lol yeah that really sucked. My car was already on 4 jack stands and I needed to raise it more to fit underneath there. I jacked up ghe front first using a jack on the left and jack on the right. Since the jack stand was already under the hardpoint I went just to the right on either side. I'd go up 10 turns on one side, then 10 on the other side until I noticed the buckling. Then I had to scurry back and forth lowering the jacks! 10 tyrns on each side and now I have a set of $10,000 dimples. Yes. $10,000.

And beware: NEVER EVER jack the back of an 512 / Testarossa on one side only; it will result in a broken back window ( $5000).

For that reason I made this iron tube at the back (costs $ 20 ?)

Ok, I like the idea with the wood blocks... But then how do you do the front? I can BARELY get a hydraulic jack under the front, with the back end flat on the ground. You lift the back 6 inches, front hits the ground. Where are you folks putting a jack in front??? Its all soft/fiberglass undercarriage/bumper.

You have to jack the front up from the jacking points under the rockers. But do it in steps evenly. side to side.

Bo, I just did this last week. I have a scissor lift and had the wheels off my car, I let the lift down as low as it would go and unfortunately the lift couldn't lift the car back up. I took the little scissor jack out of my daughters matrix and my wife's lexus and placed them where mel has his custom fabbed lift on the rear engine cradle. I was careful to just lift the rear of the car a few turns on each jack back and forth as to not flex the rear end and break the rear glass. Once the car was up high enough I blocked it like me l's photo then took the 2 scissor jacks and moved them to the jacking points just behind the front wheels. I told my wife i'd rub her neck if she came out to the garage and helped me for 5 minutes and she agreed ;) we just went slow and lifted the car together and ageing blocked it as Mel did. Once I had the weight off my scissor lift I was able to lift the car as usual but dumb mistake on my part. Good Luck!
