this guy has (or had) 3 real 250gto according to Jess Pouret 's book ? Can someone confirm ? I know that Bamford has 2, but 3 thats sounds incredible !
Tony and his wife Lulu race reguraly during the season all over the world, but I often see him at Lime Rock with his wonderful cars. He is a very private person who I believe lives on Long Island. Not sure about the 3 GTO's but wouldn't discount it. I applaud him for actually taking the cars out and really using them. He is very approachable and happy to discuss the cars if you see him at a race track.
Very private but very approachable gentleman. My wife and I met him @ VIR a few years ago. He had a 250GTO, 250P, and California Spyder with him that day. The 250P on Victory By Design - Ferrari was Tony Wang's.
Here is everything I know about him: He owns a black 250 GTO s/n 4219GT and lives in Britain. A couple of years ago (I think in 2001) he celebrated a 250 GTO party at his castle in England (there are some pics at Barchetta). And last year he invited 10 owners of 250 GT Spider California to the South of France (he owns s/n 2383GT). The special thing was that of each colour was only one car invited. There is a pic of him in the Ferrari World magazine Nr 55. I'll scan it and post it later. The 250 GTO s/n 4713GT was entered by Lulu Wang at Monterey last year and the 330 LM s/n 4453SA was entered by Anthony Wang. But I don't know if Lulu and Anthony and Brandon Wang are somehow related. I think I read somewere they are not, but I'm not sure. In the last years Brandon Wang visited the Tour Auto in France with his black 250 GTO at the last days. But he never took part at the whole event. If I have something wrong please correct me. Martin
Now, here is the pic of Brandon Wang (on the driver site). The other man is Ernst Lautenschlager from Stuttgart who was the first owner of 2383GT that is now Wang's car. Image Unavailable, Please Login
Tony & his brother founded a small Co called COMPUTER ASSOCIATES They have sponsored McLaren in F1 He is a very nice humble guy who really loves & knows vintage Ferraris as well as other sports cars I wouldnt be surprised if his car collection wasn't worth over $200M Apart from Vintage Ferraris he has Loti & other awesome vintage cars
I am unsure about relation, but both are low key. Very nice collections, use the cars. Image Unavailable, Please Login
Hello FChatters, Anthony and Brandon Wang ARE NOT the same person, nor are they related in any way!! Anthony Wang lives on Long Island and regularly races his cars at Monterey and at various other locations within the US. I have not met him, but people's descriptions of him are consistent with what I have heard. He has 2 X 250GTOs (s/n 3769GT (silver) and s/n 4713GT (red, LMB body)) as well as a 330LMB (red, s/n 4453SA). Anthony Wang also has a 250P, 250LM, 500TR, 250TR, 166MM, SWB and LWB California Spyders, 250SWB, among many others. Please see my website for complete list of cars he has owned past and present: http://www.ferrarihistory.homestead.com/wanga.html Brandon Wang on the other hand (NOT RELATED OR THE SAME PERSON), keeps most of his cars in England and races his cars usually all over Europe. He also has a 250GTO (dark blue s/n 4219GT). For a list of the cars he has owned, (NOTE he does not still own all of these cars, same applies for Anthony Wang's list) see my website: http://www.ferrarihistory.homestead.com/wangb.html BTW, Anthony Bamford has owned five (5) 250GTOs, but currently owns only 2. He has owned s/n 3413GT (now Greg Whitten), 3527GT (now Steve Pilkington), s/n 3767GT (still Bamford), 3909GT (now John Mozart) and s/n 4399GT (still Bamford). All the best -Jarrett

Gosh, for those of us who recall the dinosaurs there was Wang Computers wayyyy before CA. I first met Tony and Lulu at Pebble Beach in 1997. Very polite and kind, carrying on a normal conversation was quite easy.
WOW - The enzo looks magniificent in that Celeste, light blue colour, and an MC12 behind it makes an absolutely fantastic photo! Thank you
Actually, Tony Wang is also a great collector beyond cars, furniture and paintings being but two areas of great interest. He has a fantastic oil, a huge painting, of a Ferrari sports racer running through the mountains, perhaps the MM. What a painting that is! No doubt worth a fortune
I can't believe it, but I did just actually laugh at that. If Lulu goes home with the wrong one, will she be caught the holding the Wong Wang?
One more correction to make. "Sfumato" wrote that Anthony Wang owns 250TR s/n 0720TR, however, Anthong Wang ACTUALLY owns 250TR s/n 0722TR, the yellow ex-Alfonso Gomez-Mena TR. 0720TR, or at least the remains of it after the Briggs fire are currently owned by Harald Mergard in Germany. "Sfumato", were you connected with the Robert Baker collection? -Jarrett
just a bit of a "bio" on Anthony Wang and wife: http://www.wellesley.edu/PublicAffairs/Releases/2000/041600.html Google "Anthony Wang" for other information ... not much regarding Ferrari however. Best wishes
The thing is that the name "Wang" is pronounced "Wong." So, when Tony says "the wong Wang," it actually sounds like "the wong Wong."
Sorry 'bout that 0722 is correct...I type for schitt. Amazed Wayne didn't jump on THAT Yes, I had a lot to do with that. Corrupted Bob out of Jags into the darkside. Lot of fun. Lou Sellyei, Tom Price, Steve Earle...Lot of fun, good people. That atmosphere is gone. Showing 0008, 2689, and 3195 same day, 3 1sts.
