Who's the culprit?
how clever to report Fchat as a kiddie porn site, just makes it miserable for all you guys. I know Rob is working on it, but right now, not too good. Could you access it through an anonymizer? or a VPN? D
I'm OS ...Ironically in Poland today and obviously not using the Telstra server, but my I ask Why the people identified in the poll as the ones responsible?
I finally gave in and downloaded a VPN to get back on the forum. What a joke! I have talked to Telstra, they were about as much help as tits on a bull. Hope they get something sorted soon, I don't want to keep downloading free VPNs forever.
I'm using this for my ipad.. Free VPN Unlimited Secure Proxy by FreeVPN.org by Free VPN LLC https://itunes.apple.com/au/app/free-vpn-unlimited-secure-proxy-by-freevpn-org/id1050171910?mt=8 It's the best free one I've used,,have to put up with a couple of ads when you first connect but it's all good after that..
So am I, this is a deliberate act and when Interpol looks into it the person responsible will be in DEEP trouble ..... I hope it is FF, he deserves a reef up the ring, he's a ****
According to Rob, Telstra told him that FC was flagged for potential kiddie porn by a user or other party. They would not tell him who it was or let him contact them directly, of course, but apparently they didn't do any real research, either. Have you guys tried the alternate www.thebestemployee.com ?? D
I use Astrill for VPN, worked really well for Turkey and now Telstra. Cost is reasonably and don't get speed issues or anything. Didn't think I would need it in Australia for fchat. Also report false blocking of site to Interpol and Telstra.
Alternative to getting a VPN, you can change your DNS servers in your router/modem from Telstra DNS to either OpenDNS 208.67.222.222 and 208.67.220.220 or GoogleDNS 8.8.8.8 and 8.8.4.4.
This seems like a simple, yet elegant solution!! If you're computer illiterate, like me, your DNS settings are in the networking portion of your settings, somewhere. D
HELLO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I contacted the AFP who are the Interpol people in Aussie.............................they said take the laptop to a tech and get it debugged....very helpful.
