It is a BMW part. I just ran out and pulled mine to check for you. It says BMW on the back but no part number anywhere on it. Sorry
It is no longer available from BMW as spares; no longer manufactured. I "stocked up" some time ago and still have a couple more here of near-new units. I've only had to replace mine once in the 13 years I've had the car, so if anyone needs one, PM me. You can find the models of old BMWs that used them in the thread at www.ferrarichat.com/forum/showthread.php?t=69288 which also reports Ferrari UK having some in stock for $94 each, and Rutlands selling them for $195. The BMW part number (#1363-459) is on the tab that gets cut off to fit the part into a Ferrari 308.
The Air Pump (aka Smog Pump) on my 79 308GT4 had to be replaced, and the shop had to find a suitable substitute part, as the OEM is no longer available. AC Delco P/N 215143 is what was used in its place. (thanks to Redhead for supplying that info!)
This is also an exact (other than the tab) replacement for the Mondial 3.2. Just replaced mine with the same bmw part from a 5 series and it's identical down to the BMW roundel on the original.
Over the winter my brake fluid leaked out via the brake pressure imbalance warning switch. Part #108803 came in two styles (1976 and 1979 308GT4 showed diferrent shapes). It is now either NLA or it is GBP671, which to me means the same as NLA After some hunting on the web I found that a Volvo 240 in the early 80's had a similar part. Altrom part # is 97-2801. (See http://altrom.com) This gadget has 8 ports, we need only 5 so I made some plugs out of 10x1.0 threaded rod. McMaster-Carr has set screws that will fit but I didn't want to wait that long. The photos show original unit, the Volvo part and the installation view. (The adapters are becuase my car has a Dodge master adapted to the booster, that will be returned to original later this year). One pipe has to be rotated 90degrees to make it line up, the other lines match up quite closely. The original unit is probaly re-buildable. the switch just pries out the top, you can then remove the internals. Check that Hayden fan number, I find #3653 to be a fan reostat control, not the fan....anyone have a good Hayden replacement for the OEM Lucas??? 1977 308GTB.....
The actual fan DOES match up to that used in the 1971-1974 XKE 5.7 V-12.. I have a new one on the way at 170.00 each, will report on catalog number. (The Jag shop wanted $250.00 so I called in the BMW/Audi guys I know..) Carreaper, you must have went with the replacement 14" Hayden units, I have seen them retrofit to the 308GTB today......
RADIATOR COOLING FAN SWITCH 2 POLE VW PN# 82395948182 180F VW PN# 82395948172 160F AUTOZONE SWITCH FOR COOLING FANS SORENSEN 40-5012 180F I called VW and Autozone and all of these number are bad. i really need 160f fan switch. Any suggestions??? Kelly
Daniel Ricambi had my fan, as did the local Jag place.... Lucas #78497, aka C34368 via WorldPAC in Fairfield OH.... Exact replacement.
I got a call into Daniel right now. The one I got from the VW place has 92C or 193F to turn on, but my temp gauge goes to 230F before they turn. I think I may have a bad sending unit. I'm going to put a stick thermometer on the bottom of the raditator and warm it up and see. THX kelly
How does the fuse block and relays look, K??? Sounds as if a sticking relay could be delaying the actuation...'though Left and right fans are two circuits, though... Mine's running cool now and V's in a checkered flag miniskirt......(Art Car Ball)

Oil Cooler Lines: The fittings are reusable, so take your hoses to a local hose and fitting shop and simply have the rubber replaced. Ferrari wants about $700 for the pair. A couple of feet of hose and the service is a LOT cheaper. Thor www.JavelinArt.com
