Thats the point, you know how fun go Karts were when you were little, well this is a big kids go kart for the street that will tear the doors off an Enzo on a track. Not to bad.

Of course you are much more likely to die in a crash in this thing, that might be a downside ;) and having been in a crash at over 110 a long time ago I wouldnt want to experience that in this.

    hmm.. interesting.

    I'm tempted, very.

I'd LOVE to drive that thing to work lol. I used to have quite a few streetbikes awile ago, this is safer and even MORE practical then those were.

I mean hell, you get to sit down :)

If you can get it legalized it is a great deal. I guess Atom people can go to the Vette forums and start arguing it is the best bang for the buck! If you are in a good weather area they seem tobe a great option. Our cars here are for fun mostly anyway, so why not an Atom? I sent them (Brammo) emails a few months ago asking about making them street legal and never got a response. the original web site they had made me think they were going to be street cars. The web site now touts them as 'the ultimate track day car'. Someone directed me to the atomclub.com web site and they have a forum where people are listing the good / bad about getting them titled. Good luck, go for the S/C Honda 300 hp option.

That thing is a death trap. I considered one because of the performance, but there are far too many morons on public roads that I can not control, and would probably end up killing me. You can not utilize the performance of that machine on the street without someone getting killed.

I spent the last hour reading about it and it is totally cool. I was actually considering one to go to the office everyday.

However, It's not street legal yet. And, I agree with the above post. It's a death trap. No roof, sides, airbags, abs, nothing. You could get hit by an SUV and they'd probably never even stop.

How could that thing possibly be street legal???

It has no bumpers (as defined & required by DOT), it has no fenders over the tires so it could throw debris upwards...and the list goes on & on. Maybe in some states, but here in Calif it wouldn't get past stage-1 at the DMV.

And how do you think you'll fair when some daffy beyocth on a cell phone runs you over with her Navigator.....your kids will have to explain that Daddy got run flat by an SUV while driving to work in his go-cart. Seriously, that car (or cart?) is so low that it'll disappear into everyone's blind-spot. IMHO that is strictly a track-cart....and VERY fun Track-cart!!

You want a great compromise? Get a Noble with some mod's....perfect compromise!!! :)

Do you have sand dunes close to you house? Buy one, and get some new tires on it. Be great for the dunes!

Awesome. I bet you'd have more fun in it than in a ford GT. As to safety, there are a lot of people amongst us who ride motorcycles. With a helmet, it would be a whole lot safer than one of those. And I bet a lot better than most old open-top Ferrari's...

If you want something like a go kart buy a shifter kart and a FGT.

That would be a brilliant idea thats a radical street machine. It would eat a atom alive around a track Id imagine. For the current going rate for one of those you could buy it and a new Z06 and for what you would have payed for the FGT but Id still rather have the GT.

The only street legal Radical I know is registered in Nevada, not sure if you can get it legalized in all states.

The Atom is fast, but needs brakes. The Radical is better, but I'm biased.

I have seen a street version in florida. I doubt I'd get it up my driveway though! If I had the spare cash, I'd definitely but one....

Ha, yeah, talk about driving a missle. I saw one up at Concorso Italiano last year, and it look really nice.

Now if you really want to have fun, snag a Caparo T1

This thing has a power to wieght ration of 1 and can hit 3G's in the corners!!!
