Use a toothpick instead of a brush. And next time take the tires off before you paint.

Here's another tip - if you're taking the wheels off of the model, and taking the tires off of the wheel...

Spray your red paint onto a flat pane of glass and then set the wheel down into the wet paint, press lightly, and lift off evenly. Be sure your paint on the glass is even and not too thick. You can still go back and touch up w/ a 000 brush or, as mentioned before, a toothpick, if necessary.

I did this with the one and only NASCRAP model I built (Chevy Lumina w/ Ferrari of Los Gatos sponsorship) and they turned out great.

anyways i used flat black and guards red, i hand painted(hence the crappy job!) and i used a fine brush for the red, and a medium bruxh to coat the wheels in black. make sure to post pics when youre done!

The best way to this is to print out the line width circle that you need in a graphic software like adobe Illustrator on to a plain decal sheet that you can purchase at a hobby shop. The only problem is you need a Lazor printer which maybe Kinkos may have one. Another way is to have it cut on a vinyl cutter and then apply it like you would on a real car. I've seen this done on Ferrari F1 models that a friend of mine has done. I personally perferr the decal route, I have a Lazor printer and make my own decals I do this all the time on my model railroad stuff.
What you end up with is a more professional appearance.
