Maybe the best picture ever of a Ferrari? Well OK, I'm prejudice because it has our FerrariChat.com banner on it. Regardless, this is one cool picture! This is goober's 360 Challenge at the Classic Adelaide 2006. Thats a little known option available from the factory. It allows your car to drive just above the earths gravitational pull... Why folks don't get this and yet rave about carbon fiber seats, I will never know. Think of the money saved in tire wear... Its only available to the best ferrari customers, though. And if you have to ask, you can't afford it...
he only got the car for 2 or 3 days before the event so to turn the TC off and drive with wheels off the ground for a lot of the rally wasn't too bad for an old man
gents, and the feeling of flying was fantastic, there was an old jag in hot persuit and at our next stop all he said he heard was this ferrari engine wail to rev limiter. and it landed on all 4's and with the suspension so stiff it didnt bottom out, and the true story with the "ferrarichat.com sticker".................either me or navigator forgot to do up the lugs on the hood and pulling out of a petrol station the hood flew up and smashed the screen, we had a new one installed in 3 hours last wed night and when i finally made it home drunk and confused my wife said there is a tube in the post from texas.....low and behold and amazingly Rob Lay sent the stickers and to arrive at that moment when i really needed something on the screen, well the official ferrarichat.com banner was put on first thing thursday morning by waz356. the car performed great all week and the sound especially in the Paris Creek stage (25km closed section) we had 2x 360 challenges going head to head snaking down a ravine type road and the mugs sitting watching on the side line later we were told theyt could hear the roar of the two 360's and then to watch from above two cars going hammer and tong was a sight to behold...................i will get pics and video and have them available. cheers, bg (goober)
Goober went against every piece of advice he was offered and a) bought the car, b) entered it into the Classic Adelaide Rally, c) raised the suspension and fitted road tyres and d) turned off traction control after less than a few hundred km's in the car. And the pics show the results. At the Friday night street party in Gouger Street, the 360C with doors open and engine exposed attracted the crowd like moths to a flame, and the sound (from the outside) is just fantastic. It's good to see these things being used. Great shots - and yes it is the same car in all the pics - the front and rear number plates don't match as it's not road registered anyway.
