    For those that don't know I grew up in Salina. Jennie is from Salina too. I've spent much time in Wichita. From what I understand the exotic car culture is a little more low key in Wichita than what you find on the coasts or even Dallas. In other words, there are enthusiasts out there, but rare owners and even rarer they get them out in public much. I know growing up in Salina late 80's and early 90's there were a couple TR's, 328, and a Lusso that is still there. I'll be passing through Wichita tomorrow on my way to Heartland Park for the week. So if you see a white RX8 race car going by 35, that's me. Been meaning to get the 328 up to Salina, maybe we could do an event.

    Darrell- Welcome to Ferrarichat.

    I see from your profile that you own a 355. If you ever want to bring it out to play or show, just watch this thread or post a suggestion. We have a little Wichita group that gets together from time to time, as detailed above in this thread (given the relatively low numbers in Wichita, you F guys sometimes have to put up with us Viper guys......). For example, all Spring and Summer, and continuing until the end of October, at least one of us (and sometimes 3 or 4) have shown up at most of the Backyard Burgers (7010 West 21st) weekly Friday evenining show (starting at 6:30 or so). See above for some of the other things we've done. Welcome.

    Up and down Rock Rock, then east on 21st over into rural Butler County and back. Nice drive. Some luck involved (reference Brian's note above.....).

    I have a BRAND NEW never used or set up 4 post lift for sale. The brand is SUPERLIFTS, model SJ-7000, with a 7,000 pound lifting capacity all black in color.     Of COURSE there are no scratches...This is Doug we're talking about. LOL! I have to say though, I would never hesitate in buying one of Doug's cars sight unseen.

    You got that right! Stopped by and saw his cars the other day....WOW, they are spotless. You should see that lift, it is spotless as well, he had the whole thing powder-coated. I may be calling you today on it but I would be afraid to put a car on it.

    I am not sure why I do not have any pictures of them. I guess that everytime we get them out I have no more room on my camera....or they just do not show up well in pictures.
    I have to resort to imagining them driving along Cowely 20. Not sure if I will ever seen them on the road. I am starting to think that they are not real, just very large models that do not run. LOL
    How about we get some pics this Saturday...it is going to be nice and we are running out of good weather! We have to get some shots done before winter sets in!

    Quite a few of the posts in this thread related to the weekly Friday evening events at Backyard Burgers that occurred from Mid-April to late-October (the show had been going on for quite a few years). As we feared would happen (a "For Sale" sign had been posted on the premises since last Fall), I read in the paper today that Backyard Burgers has closed. I'm certainly hoping that the organizers will find another venue, or that someone else will step up and start up a good "replacement" event, but I haven't heard anything yet.

    I can live with losing the Wranglers, the Dog Track, and Wild West World, but I don't think I can stand not having a good Friday evening show.....

    If you hear any news, please post.

    Hey Allen, saw that article too. I was saddened as well. It just wouldn't be the same if it got moved to McDonalds or Taco Bell now would it?

    I contacted Mike Berry today (Mike is the Wichita Eagle writer who does the "Wichita on Wheels" section in the Sunday paper). Mike tracked down the organizers, and confirmed that they are trying to find a new location for the weekly Friday shows. Given the crowds that attended, I'd sure think that some restaurant (or similar establishment) would gladly step up. I'll post when I know more.

    hey allen... yeah.. I discovered this from that "other" forum I visit... this is horrible....

    those get togethers sure were fun!

    I cant imagine another business wouldn't jump right on this.. the revenue would be outstanding!!

    The rumor is that we have a new Friday night show location (starting late March or early April, depending on the weather)-- BIGS Bar & Grill, located at 7011 W. Central (southeast corner of Central and Ridge Road). I hope it's true... I'll post if I hear more.

    Nice cars guys! Just stumbled onto this section. Looking forward to a ferrari in the future! Would love to meet up with other car guys. I know of others who are as well. Can't wait for the sands and salts to wash off the streets!
