If this actually happens, not only will it be the end of my interest/support/care for F1, but I am also (maybe more) concerned about what to do if Ferrari chooses to go along with it.
Whats the frickin' point of Formula One as a spec series, and what should I think about a Ferrari that throws away all its F1 history, (particularly as the only team that has been a total manufacturer from the start) in order to tow the FIA line? I was surprised (dismayed) when Ferrari supported the common engine management systems. However, this would be a whole other deal. How could the powers that be at Scuderia Ferrari look themselves in the mirror knowing that their (our?) beloved car is not powered by a Ferrari engine? What then, should they start buying Toyota engines for their street cars a la Lotus? Maybe they can go more "green" like they have been talking about by just puting the Prius system in the next f430!
    -I fear this future.

Worst idea ever. Ever. I know, why not just have McLaren build all the cars, along with the ECU's and then everyone would just race a McMerc chassis. Oh, and then they could merge F1 with Nascar. What the hell is Mosely's deffect?

    Erm...same engine?

Where was his cost saving mind when he jammed KERS down everyone's throats?

We've got teams doing untold 100's of millions worth of parallel but unlinked development on a pot smoker's regulation and now he wants same engines? Where was the rationality of thought that forced KERS on the sport yet didn't enforce parallel development, or funding for a single source to develop it? Single ECU anyone? I've seen some number run by my screen... USD $140 million some teams have spent on KERS development. Cost cutting, for sure. Now we have top teams spending as much in R&D on making sure the torque specs are correct on their KERS device than we have the smaller teams spending on their teams in total.

F1 is no longer a sport of racing, but a sport between the two top players with the most money that can throw money at figuring out regulations until they get a good formula.

Really should rebrand this as the McLaren and Ferrari Bullsh1t Dog and Pony show. Stupid regs that no one can wrap their minds around. Stupid new tracks in stupid countries that no one cares about...just more layers of stupid when fans cry out for less stupid and more race.

ive had a look at the numbers and veiwer numbers since all these changes over 4 years have droped. now dose that tell you anything. mosley is doing these changes before he finishes up so when his replacement takes over it will be hard change them.

Formula 1 just needs to say screw the FIA and be done with it. Too much bull**** and not enough racing IMO.

Move F1 even closer to becoming a spec series?! I'm still not too thrilled that there's just one tire manufacturer currently in F1. The last thing I want to see is another "vanilla" series, which is why I've bothered to watch the Indy 500 only once in the past 30 years (watched it two years ago, was bored to tears). If I were one of the major manufacturers currently in F1 I'd be screaming for Mosley's head on a platter about right now.
